“I know France is cold in December, but good lord, this place is freezing!” Hyuga exclaimed, rubbing his arms despite wearing a pretty thick jacket.
“We're literally at 5°C (41°F), so no wonder it's so chilly.” Hikaru said, blowing to his hands. For some reason, he didn't wear any gloves. The gloves he wore are his usual dark green fingerless glove on his right hand, and the glove he used to draw on his left hand.
“It's a miracle we were able to get here in the first place. It was painful driving here alone.” Pri said, rubbing her hands together. Even with gloves on, it's still really cold.
“Remind me again why I'm the one who drove us?” Aiga said, eyeing the girl with dissatisfaction.
“I'm the map, you're the driver. It's only fair.” She retorted back. “Besides, you know I could barely drive when it snows. And it's too far to walk by foot.” She explained.
“Whatever.” He rolled his eyes.
“We all should get inside immediately if we want to escape this cold.” Bell said, walking ahead to the newly built stadium.
It was a really big stadium. A huge dome-style stadium with the dome ceiling is made with glass, so you could still see the sky even when you're inside.
Fleur de Flammes, that's the name of the tournament.
However, the temperature is still cold as hell, even when everyone is inside, so everyone still needs to wear their winter wear even inside, but at least it wasn't as painful as it was outside.
A little ironic for the tournament name, but oh well.
Though for some reason, Bell's winter attire is just a cape-style thick coat.
Maybe it's just Bell being dramatic as usual. He didn't wear his usual cape, so the coat was a substitute due to the weather.
Then again, Hikaru doesn't wear any winter gloves.
You know what? Nevermind.
“There you guys are! I was worried if you guys got stuck or something.” The blond boy said, standing near the entrance to wait for his friends.
“Driving through the snow is like driving to your potential death give or take.” The maroon haired boy said with a blank look. Dante just sweat dropped from the response he got.
He shook his head before saying another word. “Everyone will be with their partners for the opening. So you guys better stick to your partners now, because the ceremony is about to start.” The blond said, before walking away to a certain direction, followed by the Demon King.
“Guess we should get going now. C'mon, Hyuga.” Hikaru said, as he walked to a different direction with Hyuga following.
Now it's just Aiga and Pri.
“Guess we'll find our spot now, huh?” Pri said, with only receiving a nod from the older boy before the both of them walked off somewhere.
Time passed, and it was time for the opening ceremony.
[“Welcome! Boys, girls, and others! Here on a cold winter day, we're here to warm up the weather with a heated tournament!”]
Hanami exclaimed through the speakers, as the crowd cheered that can even be heard outside of the stadium.
[“Of course, what tournament without the introduction of our iconic Bladers? We have pairs that have quite became the highlight of the event!”]
Everyone cheered once more, excited.
[“Up first, it's the team that took the world of tag teams by storm, the duo that strikes through all the obstacles, it's… The Asahi brothers, Hikaru Asahi, and Hyuga Asahi!”]
