Two boys were sitting on one of the seats at the Asahi Family Restaurant.
It was during a quiet gap between breakfast and lunch, so there were no customers to serve for a few hours until lunch time rolled around.
Hikaru is still in his waiter uniform; hair tied in a high ponytail and everything. He's currently on break.
“God, the breakfast hour was more chaotic than ever.” The bluenette said tiredly.
The remaining customer, a blond friend of the bluenette, chuckled as he sipped through his tea. The older boy blew his bangs before pulling out his iPad.
“So I got everything you asked for. The blueprints and the data, it's all finished. Umm… The thing is…” Hikaru trailed off.
Dante raised an eyebrow at his friend's words. “What is it?” He asked.
“Well…” Hikaru glanced over to his iPad screen and to the Lemaire Group boss with a sheepish look. “I think I might've gone overboard a bit…” He said, as he handed over his iPad to him.
Curious, he looked over to the file that compiled all the things he asked from Hikaru (it's a good thing Hikaru is so organized to begin with), and oh boy.
It was so detailed.
The visualization was thorough, like very thorough. Even the blueprints are so detailed. It even had the codes and everything else in it.
“I tried finishing it as fast as possible in between shifts, but after I thought it's done, I didn't like how it looked, so I tried refining it more. And, well… Yeah.” The long haired bluenette boy said, looking a little embarrassed. “I got carried away with it. Sorry about that.” He said apologetically.
“No no no! Don't apologize! This is just perfect! Better than perfect, even! I love everything here!” The blond exclaimed with joy, which made the older boy sigh of relief.
“How much do you charge?”
“Huh?”
“It's a bit criminal to not charge this. Name your price, and I'll pay it.” Dante said with a serious face.
“Dude, don't worry about it. I'm not gonna charge you. I mean, this project also became a passion project I enjoy doing, so-” Hikaru said, cut off.
“I'll pay 100k. Deal.” Dante said finally. Hikaru just sweat drops. He didn't fight back, because knowing how he is, he won't take no for an answer. He could only sigh at his current predicament.
And he is fully aware that the currency isn't using yen.
“Anyways, do you plan on telling everyone else?” The older Asahi asked, changing the topic. “No, not yet. I want it to be a surprise when the event starts. So let's just say this is ‘classified information between staff’, ya?” Dante said. Even if you can't see his eyes, it's fairly clear that he's winking. Hikaru just sighed. “Yes, boss.” He replied teasingly.
“Now I gotta tell Belrine for this.” The blond said, as he took out his phone to text someone.
A few days passed. Pri is finally back from her and her brother's trip. She, Hyuga, and Aiga are at a cafe near the train station for breakfast.
She was a bit shocked to see Hyuga again, but she's happy to see her friend again nonetheless.
“Like, okay, I'm a crime investigator, but c'mon now! I didn't even ask to be there! Not even for work! I'm blaming Pax for everything, seriously!” She said, rambling on how her days went during her stay out of town. “I'm beginning to lose my senses of reality after staying there for so long, I swear…”
