The Gala...everyone awaited for the Gala. Bruce was hosting it so every rich person in Gotham would be present. And of course Damian Wayne. I mean.,he is Bruce's son isn't he? He must really like Gala-no. He hates galas. A lot of girls that have a crush on him will be there,and he hates it. He just wants to be left alone and fight crime. But nooo...and the worst part? Raven...he has liked her for quite some time now but she was with Aqualad...or maybe not?

No. Raven had just broken up. He cheated on her and she was heartbroken for weeks. She wouldn't come out of her room...and when she did...Damian made a mistake...they argued...for no reason really...but she was still angry...he put all his anger on her and called her a stupid witch. He was jealous of Aqualad. And he called Raven stupid because she went with Badlaur instead of him
It was the day of the Gala and Damian wanted to ask her to be his date but he was already set. 'Fuck you Bruce',he thought. He couldn't ask her out...

The day of the Gala came and everyone was ready. Damian was already there and Kori and Rae were a little late. Damian was bored. His date only talked about money and nothing else. He glanced around the room. That is when his eyes fell on the stairs and the slim figure in that beautiful pale pink corset dress that was walking down on them. He was speechless. Since her breakup she stopped eating and she lost a lot of weight. It was unhealthy but she still looked stunning.

Damian tried to look away from her so people wouldn't spread rumours of him 'cheating' on his 'date'...though he couldn't care less.

Damian's POV:

Why did I even agree to come? I can't do anything here...but the worst part is that I can't even talk to her...I don't blame her though...I did call her a stupid witch...I apologised a million times. I was truly sorry but she avoided me the whole time...

My date was talking to me and I couldn't care less so I just nodded in agreement in everything she said and just spaced out...until I heard her name.

"Omg Rae,You look beautiful!" I heard Kori say from another part of the hall but I couldn't take my eyes off of the figure in the pink dress walking down the staircase..God only if I could just go and talk to her. Coward! She is just a girl!...is she?

No one's POV:
Time was passing like a snail going on a mountain. Slowly...A ton of boys approached Raven,which made Damian's blood boil. She declined them all and Damian let a sigh of relief every time. Until a moment when he lost her sight.

His date was talking with Bruce which was the perfect excuse for Damian to look for his beloved. As he approached the last spot she was seen,he found her ruby necklace on the ground. Suspicious...
It started raining outside and he had a weird feeling something was going on outside. He rushed to the back yard where his feeling was confirmed. Raven.
...
She was dragged by Aqualad in the rain as they argued. He lost his temper and was about to hit her again...that is what Damian thought of again because she had scratch marks on her arms and they were fresh. That was enough.

Damian went in front of her and stopped him from hitting her.
"Leave her alone bastard!" Damian pushed Aqualad back as he regained his balance.
"Leave Robin this doesn't have to do with you" Aqua glanced angrily at Raven who was in the verge of tears.
After a lot of arguing between Damian and Aqualad,he finally left,leaving the two birds standing there in the rain, alone.
"You ok?" Damian looked at her full of concern but instead of saying anything,she hugged him tightly and cried against his chest.
"Damian...thank you..." she managed to say between the sobs.
He hugged her back and after a while he pulled her back slightly still holding her,as he wiped away her tears.
"Don't cry beloved...I am here.." he assured her as he put her necklace around her neck.Their faces inches apart. His eyes drifted to her lips for a split second. They both leaned close as they shared their very first kiss together in the rain.
They forgot about everyone else.Just the two of them.
