It has been 3 years since that mission...the mission where Aqualad and Raven were sent to. The mission that only Aqualad had had the luck to make it out alive...

'What a shame...Raven was so much powerful.'
'Looks like this was yet to come. She would have lost to Trigon anyway.' 'We really miss her,we really do.'

'Then why don't you go search for her huh?' Whenever someone from the team would sob about Raven's death, Damian would ask the same question, again and again and again, until he got the answer he was searching for.

Only to be hit by a different wave. 'Damian accept it! She is gone!'...What really got on his nerves was that some people would even say 'for good'. How can you say that for a dead person who has done nothing but suffer to help you?! Just why?!

And then,we have another suspicion of his. Just some months after the 'incident' , one random morning,Badlurd decided that he didn't want to be a member of the Titans anymore. And left.

Badlurd was basically their only source of evidence on their teammate's death. So why would he disappear just like that? Damian knew, like always. He killed her. He must be the one who is responsible for all his misery.

Not everybody knew,in fact only Dick was aware, but Robin had started developing feelings for his demoness teammate. Even though he knew that nothing would ever happen between them, because she was already in a relationship. But as he lived,he continued hoping. He is still hoping to this day.

And so did their dog,Titus. The poor dog never got past its owner's death, and sometimes,Damian found Titus waiting at midnight, outside her door, like when he would bark and she would open the door for him to come and sleep with her.

'We can't change the truth,no matter how much we dislike it." That was the cold demon's favorite quote. And that was true.

Sooner or later,he had to accept the truth as it is.
                             Raven Is Dead.

It was a normal afternoon, and the tower was filled with laughter and joyful memories. The boys were playing video games in the living room and drinking beers, eating snacks and in general cursing, while the girls were chatting in the kitchen, about things that had been happening in school. If she was there...she would have not participated in this type of conversation, she never cared about what her classmates wore to be the cheerleaders💀 , or who asked out who.

She never really cared about these type of things. She just wanted a quiet corner to read her books, with her herbal tea,in her favourite mug.  And maybe even accompany Damian. But all that has changed.

Damian was bored now...He didn't have anyone to talk to. So he decided to follow her routine. He got up from his empty bed,and followed the corridor down to the noisy part of the Tower. All the girls were surprised by his appearance. He hadn't been out of his room for ages, and they started asking questions, but he ignored them,by simply saying "I just want some tea and I'll leave."

Once his tea got ready,he went to the pitch black, long untouched cabinet. It was hers. The Titans left things in every room of the tower,as a tribute to her. This cabinet, contained things she had used in the kitchen. The plate she used to serve her first time attempted pancakes, which ended up being a disaster, her favourite tea mug,the pills she used to reduce her headaches, everything. Kori stared at him in disbelief. And the saddest part, was that this cabinet, was full of dust and spider webs. No one acknowledged her spiritual existence anymore.

That made him even more sad now. He was never an expert at cleaning things, neither was he gentle. He had broken a few glasses and plates at attempts to clean them. But this time was different. He took her favourite skull mug and took care of it. Holding it felt like holding the most fragile thing in the world. Even if it is just a random mug from IKEA, she was its owner,so its value automatically increased to priceless.

He held it in his hands for a while. Staring at it,and letting his mind wander to the past. Past memories of him and her. He never got to confess. He never will. He knows it. He just hasn't accepted it.

This was all too much burden for him. He poured the boiling hot tea sun the fragile, almost breakable mug,and rushed to his room. He did not want anyone in this room to see the tears rolling like waterfalls from his emerald broken eyes.

The hallway was pretty close to the living room. So he could hear the boys' conversation easily. That is when his ear picked up something:
"Did you hear? There is a new girl in school. Her name is Bianca. And she is 1 year younger than than Jaime! She is blonde with violet eyes and-"
That was enough evidence for the young desperate Wayne. Raven was 1 year younger than Jaime as well, and her eyes were violet too.

He knew what he had to do. He had to spy on the new girl.

...

(Timeskip)

It had been a week since Damian had collected the information he needed,to spy on Bianca with a reason. It was now Saturday,Bianca worked at a cafe on Saturdays, and she always finished at midnight. Like today. But that particular day was
way more different than the poor girl would have expected. She didn't expect someone spying on her. Not even a super hero...

She suddenly became scared. She had spotted him. She had spotted the hopeless Robin spying on her. He was sitting on a roof, watching her from above.

She started running to her house, but Damian wasn't planning on giving up so easily. He jumped from the roof and landed in front of her.

"Help! Help me! He is trying to ha-"
"Relax Raven you are safe. It's me,Damian..." he put a finger on her lips to shut her up. And he took his hood off to reveal his dead serious, yet excited, face.

"Raven? Since when am I a bird?! And who is Damian?!" The naive woman asked Damian as she backed up. She was really scared.

"No need to lie Rae. You are safe. He is not gong to hurt you anymore-"
"Are you crazy?! Who is he? And who the fuck are you! Leave me alone crazy man!" She started punching him,so he would leave.

Crazy man. That really hit Damian. It hurt way more than her punches. Crazy man...Was that the state he had reached? Was that girl not Raven?

...

Damian returned home disappointed in his own thoughts. He couldn't believe it! How did he,the intelligent and talented Wayne, who could slip away easily, reveal his identity at a random girl, and mistakes her for his love? Unbelievable...

But to his surprise, the Titans had an unpleasant and rather unexpected gift.

"Why are you all standing there? What is happening?" Damian walked over to the ground surrounding his brother, Dick.

Only to see him hold a body he recognised greatly. Raven...

"I found her 10 minutes ago. In the forest. Aqualad explained that he was frightened we would cause him of her death,so he left her hidden. And he said the truth. She died because of Trigon."

That was the last bit. Damian was going crazy. Without thinking twice, he ran out,and with peace finally concluding on his mind,he ended his life by drowning in the river of the forest she was found...

Though the cost was unbearable, the world finally came in peace...
