Skyler was scanning her surroundings cautiously, feeling a pang of discomfort in her stomach. Just then, Thornton and Riley arrived. Mac noticed Skyler in the distance, still looking a bit shaken. "I'm glad you're okay," Thornton said to Mac. "Sorry about your door," Mac replied to Thornton. "Is Skyler alright?" Thornton inquired. "Yeah, I think so; you'll have to ask Jack," Mac responded. Meanwhile, Riley walked off to find Bozer.
"Hey," Riley greeted. "Is Skyler okay?" Bozer asked. "Yeah, she is," Riley assured him. They began chatting. Mac approached Skyler, who felt a surge of fear as she heard footsteps coming closer. She turned to see it was Mac, and she felt a wave of relief wash over her. Skyler held Mac tightly in her arms.
Skyler: Hey.
Mac: Hey.
Skyler: Are you okay?
Mac: Yeah, are you alright?
Skyler: Yeah, I'm just really glad you're okay.
Skyler: We can't stay here, and my room is too small for both of us. I guess we’ll have to find a hotel for the night.
Mac: Sounds good.
Skyler gathered her things, and together they left the MacGyver home to find a hotel in the city.
Hotel Room
Skyler waited in bed for Mac to finish getting ready. As she gazed out the window, she couldn't help but wonder why Mac kept rubbing her belly. She felt comforted by her boyfriend's presence.
Skyler: Hey, handsome.
Mac: Hey, gorgeous.
Mac: Want to cuddle, beautiful?
Skyler: I’d love to, hotshot.
They snuggled together in bed.
Skyler: I've been wanting to ask you something.
Mac: What’s on your mind?
Skyler: Why do you keep rubbing my belly?
Mac: I just like doing it. But why do you keep staring out the window? Is something bothering you?
Skyler: Actually, yes. I've been called names like "fat" and told I'm not good enough. It's been making me feel really down.
Mac: You're incredibly beautiful, and you bring so much joy to those around you. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise because you truly are beautiful. I love you.
Skyler: I love you too. Let’s get some sleep; we have another day ahead of us.
Mac: Goodnight.
Skyler: Goodnight.
