On a beach, there stood a blonde girl and a black haired man. They were having the time of their lives. They ran around being the cute couple they were when the blonde looked back at the guy as she held a camera. She took a picture, and he fell into the sandcastle. She laughed as she looked at him and then her face fell. "I'm going back to Australia." She tells him. He looked at her holding her arms. "Don't talk that way, Sandy." He tells her. Sandy looked away from him. "I've just had the best summer, and now I have to leave." She frowned. "It isn't fair." Sandy says. He leaned down to kiss her neck. She flinched, shaking her head. "Danny, don't spoil it." She says.
Danny looked at her. "It's not spoiling it. It's making it better." He tells her. Sandy looked at Danny. "Danny, is this the end?" She asks. Danny shakes his head. "Of course not. It's only the beginning." He tells her. They hear a voice coming from behind them. "That was sweet and all big, brother, but I'd like to go home. I've already lost interest in this book." They turn and see a red head with red shorts and a red top staring at them. "I'm surprised you can read." Danny tells her. The red head rolled her eyes. "I'm surprised Sandy decided to go out with you." She retaliated back. Sandy just shakes her head at the two. "Danny, Cheryl is right." Danny looked at her offended. "Not at why I wanted to go out with you.. we should head back."
Danny nodded, and they grabbed their stuff. As they headed into a car. Cheryl, in the back seat, leaned up and turned on the radio. It plays the words of Vence Fontaine and the famous song "Grease is the Word."
School for Danny and Cheryl started tomorrow. When Cheryl and Danny got back home after taking Sandy back, Cheryl walked into their house. It was like the other houses in the neighborhood except it had a red front door. Cheryl opened the door and looked around to find their parents. She looked at the note that was sitting on the counter. She sighed as she turned to Danny. "Mom went out, and Dad won't be home again." She tells him. Danny nodded and looked at her. "Well, we can go grab a pizza or something?" He suggested. Cheryl shakes her head. "I'm not really hungry." She tells him. Danny frowned and looked at her. "Since when?" He asks. Cheryl blinked and shook her head as she went up the stairs to her room.
Danny watched after her determined to figure out what was wrong with his little sister. Cheryl opened and closed her door as she stared into her room. She had red painted walls and red curtains over her four two windows. The bay window is covered in black and red pillows. Her bed was the biggest with red velvet sheets and a canopy. She walked over to her vanity and sat down staring at herself. The more she stared, the more she found herself remembering what her mother and father told her. "You are to be perfect, Cheryl, that means no spending time with that no good bad boy your brother hangs out with." She hears her mother's voice in the background of her mind. "Lucinda, what boy would even want to be around her? She's not the shape girls are." Her father would tell her mother.
A small tear ran down Cheryl's cheek as she clutched her head. She breathed in and out as she wiped it from her cheek. She stood up and got ready for bed. She would be riding with her best friends instead of Danny.
The morning of the school day started, and Cheryl woke up to find the house empty. She knew Danny would already be at school. She pulls out a pair of her white pants and a red shirt with a cherry on it. She then pulled her red leather jacket off the hanger and put it on. The back read "Hbic." With an image of a cherry. This was her signature look. She heard a honk from outside and she grabbed her bag and headed out. "Rizzo!" She called. Rizzo waves at her. She got in the front seat. Rizzo was Cheryl's best friend since they had met. They formed the pink ladies with Cheryl being the leader and didn't like pink so her jacket was red. She was known as "head bitch in charge." Which is why her jacket had the HBIC on the back.
