Kendall's Pov

I know that the decision to continue with online school wasn't easy, and there will be days when I'll doubt myself. But today, I feel more confident in my choice. I'm doing what's best for Jayden and myself, and I have Caden by my side, supporting me every step.

The road ahead won't always be easy, but I know we'll be okay as long as we face it together. We're building a life filled with love, resilience, and hope for the future. And I'm excited to see where this journey takes us next.

I feel a deep sense of peace as I close my eyes and drift off to sleep. Today was the first day of a new chapter in our lives, and I'm ready to embrace it with open arms.

Kendall's Pov

September 15th

It's a crisp fall morning; the air feels fresh, and the sunlight filters through the amber leaves, casting a warm glow across the room. Today, Jayden turns five months old. As I sit in the rocking chair, holding him close, I'm struck by how much he has grown and developed in the short time he's been with us. It feels like just yesterday we were bringing him home from the hospital, uncertain and nervous but full of hope and excitement.

Here we are, five months later, and Jayden is no longer the tiny newborn who depended on us for everything. He's evolving, changing, and discovering the world around him in ways that astound me daily.

Jayden is a little bundle of energy, and watching his progress over the past month has been incredible. Every day brings something new—a milestone reached, a skill mastered, or even just a curious look at something that fascinates him.

At five months, Jayden has become noticeably stronger. One of the biggest changes we've seen is his ability to support his body weight. He's becoming much more stable when sitting up, although he still needs a bit of support from behind. Sometimes, I'll prop him up with pillows, and he'll sit there, wide-eyed, gazing at everything with pure wonder. His little legs kick excitedly, and his hands flail as he reaches for his toys.

Tummy time has transformed from a struggle to something Jayden actually enjoys. He used to hate it, crying after just a few minutes, but now he spends a good amount of time lifting his head high, looking around, and even starting to push up on his arms. His neck and shoulder muscles have developed so much that he can hold his head steady for long stretches.

Rolling over has become his new favorite trick. He first rolled from his tummy to his back about a month ago, and now he's trying hard to go from back to tummy. Every time I lay him down on his play mat, it's only a matter of minutes before he's flipping himself over with a proud little grin. He's close to mastering the full roll, and I can see how much joy it brings him when he figures out how to move his body in new ways.

His hands have also become much more coordinated. Jayden's grasp has improved significantly, and he's constantly reaching for things—his toys, my hair, Caden's face. He loves to grab and shake his rattles, and he's figured out how to transfer objects from one hand to the other. Watching him concentrate so hard on getting his hands to do what he wants is fascinating; he's determined to explore every texture and sound.

One of the most delightful things to witness is how Jayden interacts with his own body. He's discovered his feet recently, and it's hilarious to see him grab at them, sometimes even trying to pull them toward his mouth. He's so flexible, and it's as if he's realizing that every part of him can move and do something interesting.
