[Chapter 4: First Job]

GON POV:

{a couple weeks later....}

It's been a couple weeks since i moved with Killua, well...only temporary and I think im doing a pretty good job of making him happy.

We've been sight seeing together and just exploring the city and spending time with him.
He's also taken me to his favourite places, which I find cute.

But....my time here with Killua has nearly come to an end, it's been a couple weeks already into the month, and I got my first job today!

There's a constant reminder in the back of my head that I may have to leave Killua....forever, if I fail my task. The truth is, I don't want to leave, I don't want to leave....him, and I'm scared that if I do leave then he will revert back to his depressed self, and I don't want that for him.
We've become so close, and he's really making progress, I hope it doesn't come to me leaving.

Killua dropped me off at my new work place, I decided to work in a cafe and be some sort of assistant. It looked easy enough for me to do that's why I chose that route.

Killua parked his car outside the cafe and looked at me.

"If anything happens, call me ok?" He said, placing his hand on mine. I blushed and nodded my head nervously.

"Mhm! Will do" I said.

"Oh and call me when you want to be picked up, or when you're having your-"

"Hehe Killua I'll be fine, just go" I giggled as I cut him off.

Killua huffed "fine, see you later" he waved goodbye from the window and drove off.

I slowly walked into the cafe and I went up to the counter.

I saw a boy with blonde hair and grey eyes, working.

"Uhh hi" I said shyly.

The boy looked at me.

"Oh hello, what can I do for you?" He asked.

"I'm the new comer, Gon, I just got a job here recently and it's my first day" I beamed.

The other boy smiled back.

"Ohh the new guy! Gimme a sec....LEORIO GET YOUR BUTT IN HERE!!!" He suddenly shouted.

"What is it now Pika? If it's about accidentally spilling whipped cream on your homework then I ain't doing anymore-"

A tall guy with glasses and black spiky hair walked through, with an apron on.

He stopped in his tracks once he saw me.

"Leorio this is Gon, he's gonna be working here from now on" the blonde guy said with an obvious ticked off look on his face.

Leorio blinked and then walked up to me.

"The name's Leorio. Mrrrr. Leorio if you do have to use it. Remember it well kid" Leorio introduced himself, getting a smack on the head by the blonde guy.

"And I'm Kurapika" he said.

"Nice to meet you both!" I chirped. After all the introductions, Kurapika showed me what station I'll be working at, soon the cafe started filling up, and it was my time to work.

It was now my lunch break and I was sitting in the back of the cafe with Kurapika. Leorio and some other person was handling our jobs whilst we were on break.

"So Gon...where are you from?" Kurapika asked as he was making his instant cup noodles.

Well I can't say I'm from Heaven....because that's against the rule that came with the task.

"Oh I was born here, in the city, but recently I moved out of my parent's house because of some personal issues....so now I'm living with a friend" not a Total lie but it'll do.

"A friend huh? Guy or girl?" Kurapika asked.

He's quite bold huh?

"He's a guy..." I said, with a tiny blush on my face, and Kurapika noticed.

"Okkkk~what's he like? Is he handsome?" he smirked.

I gulped , he's just teasing me now.

"Well all I see every day is complete and utter beauty" I teased. Then covered my mouth realising what i just said....no no no....Angels can't fall in love....can they?

Kurapika stared at me in disbelief.

"Oh I've got to meet this guy you're so head over heels with" Kurapika said excitedly as he was sipping his noodles.

I suddenly felt a strong funny feeling in my chest. I scrunched up my nose.

"Are you planning to hit on him?" I asked, god I sound jealous....am I jealous?

Kurapika stopped slurping his noodles and looked up at me.

"Nah, I already have my man. Take a hint" he pointed his head towards outside from the break room. I turned around and saw Leorio at the coffee machine. My jaw dropped.

"You and..." my fingers were pointing between him and Leorio.

Kurapika nodded.

"He may be an idiot, but he's kind and friendly. He keeps the people he loves to him close....thats what I most admire about him" Kurapika softly smiled.

I smirked. These seem like great friends. I hope I get to stay with them longer.

It was now the end of the day and I finished my work. I said goodbye to Kurapika and Leorio and even got their contact numbers which was great! I can gladly call them my friends.

I was waiting outside for Killua when it started to rain a bit. I held out my hand and let the rain splatter on to my palm. I chuckled, Earth is so fascinating. The spikes in my hair went down a bit due to the rain, I was standing under the cafe's roof edge but there wasn't much room to cover me.

Just then, I heard a little chime go off in my head.

"Huh?"

"Gon, just a word of warning but your mission is almost complete, you have two days left" and then it fades away. Was that Asa?? Oh...he was warning me about my time limit. My eyes saddened as I looked at my feet, oh why can't I stay longer?

I suddenly heard a vehicle coming to a stop. I looked up and saw Killua coming out.

"Hey how was your first day?" He asked.

I looked at him with big eyes, they were glossy from the rain and also a few tears.

"Are you okay?..." he asked concerned.

"I'm fine...let's go" I muttered quietly and hoped into the passenger seat and Killua went round into the drivers seat and we drove home in silence.
