I had no idea I would see such a day where Mr. Devansh Raichand, the CEO of RAI, would be sitting in front of me with a marriage proposal. Why would he be even interested in marrying me? Just in exchange for clearing my father's debt? He is filthy rich that he can throw few bundles of money on his face and still be a fucking billionaire. He might have some other motive? Does he know that I'm going to work under him?
No, this is a mess. I can't marry him, who is technically my boss. I was in my daze when my father shook me by my shoulder.
I snapped my head towards him and said "I can't marry him."
I wanted to say that in a whisper but it came out loud enough for him to hear and he said in his deep voice "Why?"
I turned to him and asked, raising my eyebrows "Why would you marry me?"
"Because I want to." he said, very casually as it is some kind of his business deal which he wants to acquire.
"Marriage is not a joke, Mr. Raichand." I said, my voice firm and clear.
"I know what marriage is and what importance it holds. I'm not here to joke. I came here to ask for your hand and that's it." he said his voice firmer than me as if he is trying to show how serious he is about his decision.
"I don't even know you, how can I marry you?" I asked, scrunching my eyebrows.
"Well, for that you have your entire life to know me after we get married." he said while leaning forward resting his elbow on his knees.
Is he nuts? How can he be so careless with such a big life decision? God knows how he takes decisions in company? And moreover I'm not getting married to the fucking CEO of the company I'm about to work in.

"Yes, she will marry you. Just give us the dates." I was about to speak when my father cut in and made the decision because it will favour him.
