The gentle waves of the sea lapped against the hull of the Thousand Sunny as the Straw Hat crew enjoyed a rare calm day. The sun was high in the sky, and everything seemed peaceful. Zoro was sleeping against the main mast, while Sanji prepared a meal in the kitchen. Nami was mapping a new island, and Usopp was tinkering with something on the deck. Robin was quietly reading a book in the shade, and Chopper was marveling at the clouds.Luffy, meanwhile, was perched on the head of the lion at the front of the ship, munching on pieces of meat while laughing. That’s when Franky, passing by, noticed something strange.
“Hey, captain, there’s something I don’t get… You’ve never been in heat, right?” he asked, arms crossed with his inquisitive expression.
The rest of the crew turned to Luffy at this question. Sanji raised an eyebrow, continuing to chop vegetables. Zoro lazily opened one eye, while Robin slightly lifted her gaze from her book.
Luffy, still holding a piece of meat, tilted his head in confusion. “Huh? Have I ever been in heat?”
Sanji lit a cigarette, moving closer to the group. “Now that you mention it, it’s true that you’ve never shown any signs… What are you, exactly, Luffy?”
Luffy blinked several times before bursting into loud laughter. “Oh, that! I’m an Omega! Didn’t you know?”
A stunned silence fell over the deck. Nami dropped her cards, and even Zoro seemed ready to fall from his perch. Usopp choked on his own saliva.
“WHAT?!” they all yelled almost simultaneously.
Chopper, the first to find his words again, stepped forward, his little paws trembling with excitement. “What do you mean you never told us?! That’s really important!”
Luffy scratched his head, laughing adorably. “I thought I told you one day. It’s not a big deal, is it?”
Sanji took a drag from his cigarette, trying to hide his own confusion behind a cloud of smoke. “Not a big deal?! Are you serious?” He turned to Zoro, who was now fully awake. “What do you think of this, moss-head?”
Zoro shrugged, although a vein pulsed slightly on his forehead. “I don’t care. He’s still the same Luffy, Omega or not. As long as he can still fight, what does it change?”
Robin, with her usual calm demeanor, smiled gently. “Luffy, you never thought it was necessary to share this information? It could have implications.”
“Implications?” Luffy sat cross-legged, leaning forward as if curious to know more. “Like what? I just want to be the Pirate King.”
Usopp’s eyes widened, clearly still in shock. “But… But… Luffy, how can you be so relaxed about this?! An Omega is… it’s…”
Luffy interrupted him, his childlike smile still present. “Well, I’m still me. Why are you all making weird faces? You still love me, right?” He tilted his head with disarming innocence.
Sanji shot a serious look at the others. “Of course we love you, Luffy. But you could have told us sooner. If someone tries to hurt you because of this…”
Luffy burst into laughter, interrupting Sanji. “Huh? Like anyone could hurt me just because I’m an Omega! I’m too strong for that!”
Nami shook her head, half-amused, half-exasperated. “Honestly, Luffy…”
Chopper, with a worried look, stepped closer and took Luffy’s hand. “Are you sure you’re okay, Luffy? If you need anything…”
Luffy patted his head affectionately. “Don’t worry, Chopper, I’m fine! But if I ever go into heat, I promise I’ll tell you.”
