Thistles destiny

Chapter 3

 The students grab everything they might need to survive a few hours away from school. Some dragons grab medicine for any injuries that might happen, and some dragons grab extra food to eat on the way to the mountains. Thistle and Poison Ivy approached Cometwatcher as they finished grabbing everything they needed.

"Is everyone ready to leave? We have to go as soon as possible" Thistle said in a stern yet nervous voice.

"Yes, I think so. Do you and Poison Ivy want to round everyone up so we can go?" Cometwatcher mentioned as he looked around at the crowd gathering the last of their things.

"Yes, we shall" Thistle exclaimed as he looked back to Poison Ivy, who gave him an affirmative nod.

"Perfect, ready when you are" Cometwacher explained as he stretched out his wings, ready for flight.

Thistle and Poison Ivy quickly lept into the air and gathered everyone up by explaining that they would be leaving now. You could tell they were all nervous and scared just by looking at their expressions, although, a couple of older dragons looked slightly excited for an adventure. They all took off in the hope of getting to the high mountains as soon as possible, to avoid the massive tsunami.

After about 2 hours of flying thistle spotted a possible area to rest quickly, he looked over towards Cometwatcer, who was leading the group.

"Hey Cometwatcher, I think this would be a good place to build up our strength"

Cometwatcher looked down towards the clearing in the dense forest and nodded towards Thistle's direction. As Cometwatcher was leading the group down Thistle noticed something brightly colored run into the dense trees. He had a puzzled look on his face, and as he landed he decided to check it out.

"I'm just going to check something out, I'll be back in a second" Thistle called out to the group so they would hear him.

Thistle crept into the forest where he spotted the unusual creature, he tried to be as quiet as possible so he wouldn't scare it off, whatever it was. As Thistle moved farther into the forest he saw it, the creature out to be a dragon.

'I've never seen any dragon like that before!' thought Thistle.

It was smaller than most dragons he had seen, with bright yellow, and magenta scales, and a long, slender body, with flower-like wings. Thistle took a step forward in curiosity and a sudden 'CRUNCH' from a stick made Thistle and the odd dragon jump backward.

"Who's there!" the odd dragon exclaimed "I'm not afraid of you!"

Thistle walked towards the dragon calmly and said,

"Don't worry, I won't do anything." thistle and the odd dragon looked puzzled.

"What are you?" they both said at the same time. Thistle responded first,

"The name's Thistle, I'm a Leafwing or leaf dragon, whatever you want to call it." the odd dragon still looked puzzled,

"I've never seen your kind around here." Thistle then realized what the dragon meant,

"Oh yeah, some of my kind just recently moved here from another continent to enroll in the school here." The odd dragon didn't look as confused anymore,

"That makes sense, anyways my name's Daylily, I'm a Plantwing or in this case a flower dragon. And if you are wondering about my abilities, I can control most water, like the ocean and lakes." Thistle realized how helpful this could be right now since the tsunami would be there in a few hours.

"Would you be willing to help the continent out? It's very important, and we don't have much time."

"It depends on what it is," explained Daylily flicking her tail side to side.

Thistle then explained to Daylily that they could use her water-controlling abilities to put the tsunami off course and prevent it from causing any damage to the land and dragons. Thistle also mentioned that the tsunami would hit Not too far from here, about two hours away, and that his whole school was resting here then continuing to move further away.

"I'll help," Daylily exclaimed with a stern voice.
