Threatening Looks

~Later in Godzilla's camp~

~Shadow looked around the camp. He tried to sleep, but he was too worried about Lunis. What was Ghidorah doing to her? Shadow's claws grazed the stone under his paws. If he hurt her, he'd pay.~

"You okay?" -Alfa

~Shadow jumped at the sudden voice of Alfa. He whipped his head around, accidentally making her jump. He shook himself, calming down.~

"Sorry, Alfa. I'm just...worried about Lunis. I didn't mean to scare you." -Shadow

~Alfa relaxed and sat down beside him.~

"We'll get her back, Shadow. Have faith." -Alfa

"Faith? What will faith do? She could be injured, starved...or worse...." -Shadow

"Don't go there, Shadow. We must keep our hopes up. If we give up now, then what would Lunis think?" -Alfa

~Shadow sighed. He closed his eyes for a moment, before opening them again to see Behemoth and Methuselah giving him threatening stares. They then turned and whispered something to each other, something Shadow didn't catch.~

"Why are they staring at me like that...?" -Shadow

"I...don't know...." -Alfa

~Just then, Kong came over. He glared at Behemoth and Methuselah before turning to the two apprentices.~

"Don't mind them. They're just worried about the Princess. As everyone is." -Kong

"Then why were they-" -Shadow

~Kong gave him a sideways glance, which silenced him.~

"It's nothing you should worry about." -Kong

~Shadow glared at him in annoyance before turning and walking away.~

~Alfa watched him leave before turning back to her mentor in confusion.~

"What was that about?" -Alfa

"Nothing." -Kong

~Alfa narrowed her eyes.~

"Tell me. Don't you think at least I deserve to know?" -Alfa

~Kong stared at his apprentice for a long moment, staring into her eyes, before sighing in defeat.~

"You're not going to stop asking unless I tell you, are you?" -Kong

~Alfa shook her head.~

~Kong sighed again before turning away, flicking his tail for Alfa to follow him.~

~They continued walking until they reached the same cave where they learned the truth of Lunis's past. They walked inside and Kong sat down.~

"You know how Lunis is the reincarnation of Godzilla's daughter? Well, Shadow is a reincarnation of someone too." -Kong

~Alfa perked her ears up with interest.~

"Except...he's not the reincarnation of just any Titan. Everyone judges him for who his father is." -Kong

"Who is his father?" -Alfa

~Kong gave her an intense stare.~

"Don't you wonder why the other Titans give Shadow cold looks and whisper about him? There's only one Titan in the world that could have a son believed to be a bad omen." -Kong

~Alfa's tail drooped and her jaw nearly dropped in realization.~

"So...that means...." -Alfa

~Kong nodded his head.~

"Yes. Shadow is Ghidorah's son." -Kong

~Alfa's ears flattened, not out of fear but out of worry for her friend.~

"But, Shadow is nothing like Ghidorah! He's kind and generous! He's too innocent to be the son of that tyrant!" -Alfa

"That's not what most of the Titans here believe. They believe that Shadow will one day betray us all and rise to power like his father." -Kong

"What does Godzilla think about this?" -Alfa

"Even though Ghidorah is his most ancient rival, Godzilla still wanted to give his son a chance. That's why he gave him to Rodan to train him. Rodan once allied with Ghidorah when it was seen that Godzilla was dead. He became his sort of 'right-hand man'. However, once Godzilla took down Ghidorah and got his place as King back, Rodan felt shameful of what he had done. Godzilla told him not to blame himself, that it was Ghidorah who made him kill everyone and destroy everything he did, but he never gave up on his blame. So, when you, Lunis, and Shadow were given mentors, Godzilla and Mothra gave Shadow to him so he could have a chance at proving himself. However, I do notice the looks that Godzilla gives him. Even though he may not share the same golden pelt as Ghidorah, he still shares his eyes. I know that every time Godzilla looks at him, he doesn't see the eyes of an innocent boy. He sees the eyes of his worst enemy." -Kong

"Then...why is he letting Shadow on this mission to rescue Lunis?" -Alfa

"It could be because he's seen how close Lunis is to him. Godzilla may be protective of his daughter, but he's smart enough not to get in the way of who she chooses to be with. At least for now, that is." -Kong

~Alfa nodded in understanding, looking down at her paws.~

"I know you're worried about him, but you must never tell Shadow or Lunis about this. If I'm being honest, I could see some of Shadow's father in him tonight. And I know that he's just worried for Lunis's sake, but he shares the same threatening eyes and Ghidorah." -Kong

"But, what if Ghidorah tells him himself? Don't you think the story would be easier if it came from us?" -Alfa

"Perhaps. But, he doesn't need to know yet. Give him some time first. He'll know when it's time." -Kong

~Alfa's ear flicked, a little bit annoyed, but she nodded her head in understanding.~

"Okay. I won't tell him or anyone else." -Alfa
