The next day, it was decided I was fully healed. Finally, I was fully healed.
"Congratulations, Sammy." Elizabeth smiled. "Too bad our little walks will have to end."
"Says who? The way I see it, we now can walk even more." I smiled back at her.
   "You're right." She giggled.
"So how bout it? This place is so big I surely have more to see."
"Oh," she smiled before suddenly looking a little disappointed. "I can't, I'm afraid I have classes to catch up on all day."
"Oh, well, if you're not too tired, how bout tonight?" I suggested. I just really wanted to see her more.
"Yes, I would like that." She said, perking up a little.
"Alright then, I'll see you then." I smiled.
"Right. Goodbye for now." She said, heading off.
I went to see about a bath and a change of clothes. Luckily, I was able to use the facilities.
After my bath I got changed into some clean clothes, a white shirt and brown pants. I was informed that I could either eat in the Great Hall or have my lunch sent to my room. I chose the former and was escorted there.
There, I saw a lot of kids wearing the same robes and hats as Elizabeth. They were all sitting together.
I grabbed some food and sat alone at the end of a table. "Excuse us, sir." I heard a child's voice call out. I looked up to see it was a young girl flanked by two boys. "Could we join you?" She asked.
"Um, sure." I agreed. They all took a seat across from me.
"My name is Hermione. This is Ron, and that's Harry." She said, introducing herself and her two friends.
"Nice to meet ya, I'm Sam."
"You're the muggle they're keeping here, aren't you?" The ginger, Ron, asked.
"Yeah, I guess so. Is everyone talking about me?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.
"No, well, yeah. We don't have a lot of muggles." He answered.
"Right. And I'm guessing you're all..."
"Wizards and witches." Hermione interjected. "We saw you with Miss Watkins yesterday. She's in Ravenclaw."
"Yeah, she's been helping me heal. Y'all know her?"
"Yes, not officially." She answered.     "We wanted to ask you something."
   "Uh, okay, shoot."
"Is it true that you as a muggle..." She said before before being interrupted by Ron.
"That you used magic without knowing it?" He blurted out.
"Oh, yeah. Apparently. But, I'm no wizard." I shrugged
"Of course not. No offense, but you're far too old." said the girl.
   "I'm only twenty-one." I chuckled.
"No, she means wizards are born with magic, and their abilities manifest at a young age. It's why there's an age limit to coming here." Said the dark-haired boy named Harry.
"Hmm, you're Harry Potter, right? Great game you had yesterday." I said, trying to steer the conversation.
   "Thank you." The said, smiling
"Sir, we really want to ask about your powers." Hermione asked, starting to sound fustrated
"Right, um, I'm not sure, really. I don't think your headmaster believes that story, and Liz isn't so sure in her story anymore."
"So you really don't know how it happened?" Ron asked.
   "Nope." I answered honestly.
"Do you think it could simply be a misunderstanding, from Miss Watkin's point of view?" Harry asked.
   "Yeah, maybe, I don't know."
"Hmm, could it have something to do with the corrupted beast you were fighting? Or perhaps your environment. Do you have any magic artifacts? Or anything unusual?" Hermione suggested.
   "Sorry, but nothing like that."
I thought for a moment. "The only artifact I keep on me is my grandfather's necklace." I said, reaching into my shirt and pulling it out.
"It's a stone." Hermione said, inspecting the necklace.
"Yeah, my great grandfather used to wear it all the time."
"And you say you had this with you when the attack happened?"
"Yeah, I haven't taken it off since he left it to me."
"May I see it?" She asked.
"Oh, um, okay." I said, handing it to her
She took the necklace and inspected the stone. "I'm not sure. Perhaps there is a curse or magic attached to this. Could you come by the library later? I would like to do some research."
"Later? I got a date later." I said, shaking my head.
   "Really? With whom?" Harry asked.
   "Liz." I answered.
"You'd rather go on a silly date than learn what happened?" The girl asked, sounding genuinely appalled
"Listen, kids, there's nothing silly about love. I'm sure we'll get to the bottom of this situation about my magical powers. They'll be plenty of chances. But when it comes to someone special, ya can't let that chance slide, know what I mean?"
Harry shook his head as Ron glanced at Hermione. And Hermione, just looking disgusted.
"You guys'll get it one day." I said, with a sigh.
"Anyway, you'll have to give that back." I said, holding my hand out for the stone.
   "Right." She handed it back.
"Thank you." I smiled at the girl.
   "Goodbye, Samuel." Hermione said.
"Call me Sam. It's nice to meet ya."
"You too." They said in unison.
They left the table, and I ate the rest of my lunch in peace.
