"Good morning, Sammy." I heard a familiar voice not long after waking up.
"Hey, morning, beautiful." I smiled, feeling my heart flutter when I saw her.
"Someone's in a good mood." She giggled, handing me a glass of red liquid. "Drink up."
"Is that potion?" I asked.
"Yes, it's a bit early, but the sooner we start, the sooner you'll recover. I'll take you to get breakfast. Food is also very important to your recovery."
"Alright." I sat up, drinking the potion. It tasted like orange juice.
She helped me up, supporting my weight with one arm and holding my hand. We went through the hallways and down the stairs before getting breakfast.
An hour later, she had me walking down through the halls. "Morning, Liz." A voice called out to us, and we turned to see a blond girl.
"Hello Emma. This is Sammy. He's a muggle born. Sammy, this is my sister."
"Hey, nice to meet you." I offered her a hand shake.
"Likewise, my sister told me so much about you." She said, shaking my hand. 'Fuck her sister was pretty. Bet all these Watkins are.' I thought to myself.
"Is that so?" I asked, raising an eyebrow and looking at her.
"Nothing bad." She answered, giggling.
"I'm glad. So, you're a Watkins, too, then?"
"Yup, Emma Watkins, at your. service." She said, giving a playful curtsy.
"Nice to meet you, Emma."
"I hope you feel better."
"Thanks, I'm sure with Liz here I'll be better in no time." I smiled, putting my arm around her and giving her a squeeze.
She blushed a bit but smiled and gave her a squeeze.
She blushed a bit but smiled and looked away.
"Well, I gotta run, I'll talk to you later, Liz. Bye Sammy."
"See ya."
We continued our walk around the castle. "Your sister seems nice."
"Yes, I'm very lucky to have her."
"Is your brother anything like her?"
"They're both quite the charmers. But he can be a little rough around the edges. He is a slytheran, after all."
"Slytheran? Like snakes?"
"Yes. Emma is a Gryffindor, so she's not as fond of her brother's house."
"Why is that?"
"The houses are supposed to represent each person's core personality traits." she went on to explain the four houses of Hogwarts and their functions.
"Interesting. What house do you think I'd belong to?" I asked, looking down at her.
"I'm not sure. It's possible you could belong in more than one. My brother is a Slytheran, but Emma could very easily be a hufflepuff. The sorting hat had trouble with all three of us when finding us a home."
"What's wrong with Slytheran?"
"Nothing. Just that my brother tends to be a bit bossy."
"Ah, I see."
We walked around a good while, just talking about our families, our lives. I learned about her world, and she learned about mine. Eventually, we made it back to the infirmary.
"Unfortunately Sammy, I have to study my exams. I'll be graduating soon." She said, helping me back in the bed.
"That's great. What do you plan on doing?" I asked, laying down.
"Well, I would like to teach here. Perhaps I might work with the little ones."
"Oh really? I think you'd be wonderful at it."
"Thank you." She gave me a peck on the cheek, blushing. "I'll see you tomorrow."
"Bye."
"Bye, Sammy."
I laid there, a big goofy smile on my face, a hand on my cheek.
Later that night, Elizabeth came back. She asked me if I was interested in seeing a quidditch match. Apparently, some kind of sport they played here. I agreed, and she said she'd take me to see one the next day.
Finally, when the next day arrived, she took me to the quidditch field as she explained the rules to me.
Honestly, it was a pretty entertaining sport. It was a bit like soccer, hockey, and dodgeball. By the end of it, I team gryffindor had 170 points over Slytheran's 60. Looks like this Harry kid was a rising star.
On our way back, Liz and I stopped to grab a quick bite.
"That was pretty fun." I said, excited.
"I'm glad you enjoyed yourself." She smiled, patting my arm.
"It was really cool. I've never been a fan of sports, but I'd watch that."
"Perhaps the next time they play, Emma will be the seeker."
"Did you ever play?" I asked.
"No, I tried out, but I wasn't good enough. Though Emma did invite me to be on her team."
"What would you have done if you made it?"
"Well, the only open spot was keeper."
We talked a bit longer before eventually we took time to play some chess. Elizabeth was absolutely destroying me. She had me checkmated within a minute.
"You're not very good, are you, Sammy?"
"Hey now, I've never been a big chess guy." I said defensively.
"I'm sure you'll get good one day." She teased.
"Don't get ahead of yourself. You're pretty good."
"Thank you, but I'm no champion."
"Still, I couldn't even keep up."
"Would you like another round?"
"You're on, I'll have to challenge you to a game of uno sometime."
"Uno?" She questioned, tilting her head.
"Muggle card game."
"I'll have to take you up on that sometime."
We played a few more times as and I lost all of them.
We spent most of the day together before saying good night.
