Luis

A few weeks later.

Luis attacked his black hair savagely with the hairbrush. Trying to tame it and flatten it atop his head.

It wasn't behaving.

Luis let out a frustrated sigh that echoed around Nathan's large bathroom.

He had been here at Nathan's since he'd been discharged. Nearly a month. Nathan's parents have become his legal guardians until he turns 18. He was living his best dream. His boyfriend was here every day. Giving him sweet kisses, and comforting words. He also helped with Luis's homework and gave him plenty of mental support.

There was also enough delicious food to feed an army here!

The only downside was his untameable hair! Luis growled in frustration.

"Are you ok Luis?" Nathan asked from the bathroom door as he poked his head in to see what was happening.

"No! My hair won't stay flat!" Luis said exasperated. He clutched the brush tightly in his hand, looking at Nathan in the mirror.

It was Graduation tonight. He had survived school, so he wanted to look his best. When Luis had arrived back at school after weeks in the hospital. People had looked at him and whispered, but not in the mean kind of way. Turns out people had been concerned when he'd been rushed out of school on a stretcher. Luis had even found an apology letter from Andy stuck to his locker door. It turns out Andy hadn't expected Luis to actually try to kill himself.

Luis hadn't seen much of Andy since he came back, and he hadn't gone looking.

"But I like your messy hair, it makes you look cute." Nathan grinned, breaking into Luis's thoughts.

Luis smiled at him. "You think so?"

"I know so." Nathan beamed.

Nathan had his blonde hair brushed neatly to one side and held down by hair gel that Luis had helped slop in his hair. His clothes were pressed and clean, he wore a dark blue overcoat with a white shirt and black jeans. His blue eyes sparkled with love.

Luis had insisted on wearing his hoodie and track pants. 'For comfort' he'd told him. Nathan had agreed, so long as he was allowed to wash the filthy things. Luis had watched like a hawk while he did it, he was attached to the clothes for some reason.

"Then I'll leave my hair like this." He agreed, setting the brush down on the basin.

Luis walked over to Nathan and wrapped his arms around his chest. To calm himself Luis nuzzled into his neck, breathing in the sweet cologne that was all Nathan.

"I'm nervous..." He mumbled.

"Why's that?" Nathan asked softly, as they swayed gently from side to side. His hands rubbed Luis's back while his breath stirred Luis's hair.

"What if they still treat me like a ghost? The teachers?" Luis asked softly. He rested his head at the base of Nathan's neck, right on his collarbone.

"They won't. I know it." Nathan said gently. "And if they do; you can come up on stage with me."

Luis fiddled with Nathan's shirt collar.

"I'm also nervous about starting Uni. What if I'm not fit to be a therapist?"

"Luis, love," Nathan murmured, giving him a tender squeeze as they continued to sway. "You've been through so much. You know so much. You're perfect for that job. You could be famous one day!"

Luis snorted. "Maybe."

"I know you will be." Nathan kissed the top of Luis's head.

"Hmm..." Luis mumbled.
