This part is when there in highschool Stella's pov: I had walked into math class the only class me and Nika had and it was the last class of the day as well so obviously I was happy.
I had arrived in the math class walked in sat right next to Nika as always....
Something was clearly off she didn't text me a good morning text as usual and she just hearted my good morning text to her
And we didn't talk in the hallways today either. Like she was totally avoiding me.
I decided to ask her about it I didn't know if it was gonna be a good idea but oh well. What's the worse that could happen?
"Nika?" I said as she turned to look at me finding my eyes I didn't have a good feeling about this. Her staring into my eyes made my heart drop.
"What's wrong?" I had asked her generally very confused and somewhat worried?
"Stella." My heart dropped it was almost the end of class and almost the end in the school year.
"We need to break up I just lost feelings for you after a year of us dating.." yeah I felt my heart break. That hurts. But couldn't tell her that. "Alright I get it"...I infact did not get it.
But that was the last time we talked.
**Present day** Ella's pov
I was moving to uconn to be in the basketball team and yeah I knew it was going to be awkward consider my ex is gonna be there in the same team as me.
I'm moving from South Carolina.

My roommate was azzi fudd we was already getting along and she told me she was dating Paige bueckers they was probably a good couple I haven't seen them hang out I just got here today
I was just finishing unpacking and made my bed js casual yk.
The first official practice wasent until a week later so there was team bonding.
"Are you ready to go to team bonding? It's a kks dorm?" Azzi spoke up to me as I just finished unpacking ema nd azzi just sort of clicked like well yeah ig?
"Uhm that's today? And who's kk?" I had asked I was new I didn't know anybody except azzi and Nika but there's no way we would talk to each other
"Kk is one of the girls in the team and yes it's today so change" dam. "Alright alright I'll change"
I just threw in some shorts and a t shirt just to be comfy We headed out and started walking to kks dorm and I got a call from my dad I answered.
"Hey?" I had said "how's it going there?" "It's good but we're about to hang out for team bonding"
I had told him and azzi was clearly ease dropping...nosy.
"Alright well bye love you" I said I loved him to and then hung up.
"Who was that?" I heard azzi ask while we still continued walking to kks dorm "My dad." I said I hope she didn't know who he was cus he's well known.
"Who's your dad?" Uhm well how ell I'll tell her "Cordell Walker" yup. Her jaw sort of dropped so she knows him.
"Yk I forgot what your Texas ranger dad looked like so could you show me??" Yeah so your being sarcastic....
"Azzi I know you know what he looks like" I say as we walk into kks dorm I made eye contact with Nika immediately and js sort of ignored her well she broke eye contact first.
I saw a blonde perk up and she looked like she was wondering why azzi wanted to know what someone looked like.
"Wanna know who looks like" she had asked "that's Paige" azzis said in my ear I just nodded and answered her question. "My dad"
"Why your dad?" I just chuckled "eh I don't know she just wants to know" I then shrugged and azzi done spoke up again
"Please show them" I playfully rolled my eyes and pulled out my phone and showed them this picture

"That's him" every one sort of had shocked reactions except Nika my dad loves Nika and Nika loves my dad "yeah that's him"
"Dam girl no wonder why your fine too" I heard kk said I just chuckled and me and azzi sat down her besid elaige and me beside Nika I didn't rnnly want to felt like it was awkward.
I saw Nika glare at kk when she said that She then looked at me and tapped me on my thigh
"Your dad still alive?" I chuckled at that and answered "yeah he is few scares here and there" "oh ok then" tats where the convo ended.
Everyone was just hanging out we watched movies and talked for a bit but me and Nika didn't when I really wanted to talk with her.
