The watch on my wrist

The nightmares

    Ray's existence has become a nightmare to himself. He lost his only friends: Ben died and Jay was in jail because of a cigarette. It was unbelievable! Ben has been smoking and taking drugs without any problem but just after what they did to Philemon, their entire life completely changed.
    "This watch has been causing me a lot of problems. The nightmares are repeatedly occuring at the same time every day......Ray said to himself".
    Ray woke up everyday at 3 a.m, hearing voices in his head while sleeping and feeling someone's breath on his face and neck.
    The watch was still on his wrist, he couldnot remove it. Whenever he tried to, the watch became more tight, pressing on his wrist and causing bleeding.
    One night,at 3 a.m, he heard voices in the house. It was dark,no candle at hand,no torch. He gradually felt heavy foot steps on the ceiling and throughout the window, he saw Ben.
    "Ben! Is that you? I heard you are dead, what are you doing here? What are you looking for?......Ray shouted".
    Ben took a knife from his mouth,cut off his hand and when he looked at Ray, it was Philemon's face.
     Ray woke up. It was another nightmare. He stared at the watch and saw Philemon's face, smiling with blood on his face,Ray screamed.
    He took a hammer, tried to break the watch but the hammer melted into pieces.
    He took a screwdriver, tried to open the watch into pieces but it broke. Ray became depressed and tried to commit suicide.
