What's your biggest dream?
I always thought mine was perfection, being pretty. Flawless.
That's what I learned for the past 9 almost 10 years.
I never knew my parents, at least I don't remember them.
I don't think I really want to know them.
I don't understand why we have to become pretty to be happy.
I just wanna be free.

One last glance at the mirror.
I wasn't really ugly but I couldn't ever love myself. My looks were ruined by the scar in my face, so that's what they called me. I never understood why everyone gave you a nickname of your biggest insecurity.
I got an notification.
Tally: scar u coming? We're waiting on you.
I climbed on top of the building and my friends were already waiting on me.

"Hey scar" tally said and hugged me really quick like she always does.
Peris was also here which didn't surprise me because him and tally were best friends after all.
"Now come on let's see what's going on on the other side"
"It's casino night I think" peris said putting on the glasses that were made for looking at far places.
"They're having so much fun.. and they're all so happy" tally said and paused for a second.
"Man I wish I was there so muchh" she said while taking off her glasses.

I didn't care too much to look what's going on there. I didn't wanna become one of those, even if they seem all happy and are having the time of their lives, that just doesn't seem human to me. Being always happy and pretty just takes away the human you are.

"Scar you wanna see?" Tally said offering me her glasses. "No thank you" I said nicely and smiled at her.
"Why are you never interested in any of that?" She asked. "No I am it's just I don't wanna spoil the fun" I said smiling.

I always hated lying especially to my loved ones

"I still can't believe you'll be there tomorrow peris" I said.
"Yeah I mean I waited long enough" he said.
"Ohh I wish I would be there" tally said.
"You will be in exactly 3 months" peris said to her. "Are you excited?" I asked.
"Very I can't wait anymore" he laughed
We talked a little more until a warden was flying dangerously close.
"Yoo uhm I think we should go" I said.
"Yeah but before that" peris grabbed mine and tallys arm. "Huh?"
"Please you both make sure not to get in any trouble while I'm gone" he said,
"Because look, I don't think I can handle it if you both won't be there on September 9th"
"Me neither" tally said.
"Okay what about this, meet me at the bridge in one month okay? I'll tell you both everything I saw" he said.
Tally smiled and nodded and he looked over to me and waited for a reaction.

I didn't want to it felt wrong.. it wasn't what I wanted.. I want freedom not that.

"Yeah we'll see you there" I said smiling.

Liar. I'm a fucking liar.

We climbed back to our rooms and the voice already said "wake up" in repeat.
I got my stuff really quick and then left to go to the farran auditorium for the graduation assembly that will begin in less than 5 minutes. Tally and peris were rushing down the stairs while I just walked down normally and sat down next to them.

Behind and next to us there were some people talking. "You saw them skinny? They really ran away to the smoke" a dark skinned girl said, "I didn't think they'd do it" she chuckled.
"I don't like they'll make it" a guy said.
"Because the smoke doesn't exist" another guy said. "David took them, personally" the girl between them said.

David? Who's this David?

Before I could understand more the show begun. "Please welcome district governor Dr. Nyah cable"
People starting clapping while I started to space out and stopped listening.
I only started to pay attention again when peris stood up, and so did tally to hug him one last time really tight.
"The bridge one month.. don't be late though okay? We'll be there waiting for you" she said. "Deal" he answered and both started smiling. Before he could leave I gave him a quick hug aswell and then he left.
"Hey" one of the girls behind us said to get tallys attention. "Boyfriend?" She asked her. "Best friend" she answered and smiled awkwardly.
