Jacqui woke up on Dan's stomach and his arm around her. Everything that happened the day before started to flood back into memory and she started to shake tremendously.

"Woah, woah. Hey, are you alright?" Dan says, suddenly awake, with worry in his words, "You're shaking again."

"I'm sorry." Jacqui says quivering, "I- I remembered last night and what happened."

"There, there, come here. It'll be okay, I promise." Dan says bringing her into a warm hug.

"Hey Dan," Jacqui asks, "Where's Sophia and Phil?" At this point she had stopped shaking.

"I think they went to your guys' flat, so they wouldn't wake you." Dan says looking down at Jacqui.

"Wait, I fell asleep on you? Oh God, I'm sorry." Jacqui says looking up at him.

"I was quite comfortable, to be honest." He says running his fingers through Jacqui's hobbit hair.

"Thank you." She says and plants a kiss on his cheek, then lays back down on his chest.

~At Sophia and Jacqui's apartment (the night before)~

"So how do you think they're doing?" Sophia asks Phil as they sat on the couch.

"I think they'll be fine. Has Jacqui done stuff like this before? Or told you anything about it before? And by 'It' I mean the 'scratch herself with a knife' thing." Phil asks.

"Not that I remember. I mean there were sometimes I'd see her up until 6 am pondering things, laughing, or typing on her laptop. I think the key is to look on her laptop." Sophia suggests looking straight at Phil.

"Yeah, but that's invading someone's privacy. So, I really don't recommend that." Phil says looking into and loving the beautiful shade of blue that is Sophia's eyes.

"Yeah, I suppose." Sophia replies without breaking eye contact. A silence falls upon the two as they sit on the couch, seemingly unknowingly inching closer together. Phil's hand lands on Sophia's arm, and his eyes follow, Sophia's eyes not far behind.

"Do you regret these?" Phil asks about her scars, breaking the silence, and looking back up to her face.

"No." She says, eyes still on her arm. "Most people think I would, but I don't. I do hide them, but I'm not ashamed of them. I only hide them because it makes people not want to give you a chance. It's happened before, that's why I wear this hoodie all the time."

"That's very shallow of them." Phil says, looking back to the scars.

"I guess, but it's only normal. Most people don't want to be around someone if they have a lot of baggage, and scars are a definite sign of baggage." Sophia responds.

"I would have given you a chance." Phil says, once again looking to her face, hoping she looks back.

Sophia looks up to Phil, locking eyes with him once again. "I know you would."

Phil brings his hands up to cup Sophia's face, slowly drawing her nearer. Their faces now centimeters apart, he closes the gap. Sophia responds to this by closing her eyes and kissing back. The kiss was slow and sweet, and stayed that way for about a minute, when Phil decides to slip his tongue out and across Sophia's bottom lip. Sophia lets a small moan of surprise slip out, and Phil takes the opportunity to slide his tongue into her mouth. She tastes of general tsos and rice, and Phil lets out a giggle against the kiss, Sophia smiling into it. Their tongues dance, and slowly, Phil deepens the kiss by gently pushing Sophia onto her back on the couch. Their tongues are not fighting for dominance, Phil winning, but Sophia not giving up without a fight. Phil's pants are becoming painfully tight, and he moans into the kiss, dying for friction, when suddenly, Sophia breaks it off.

"Wait." She says almost immediately after breaking the kiss.

"What's wrong?" Phil says, worried, sitting up, and Sophia doing the same, not daring to look at Phil.

"I want to wait." She says quietly.

"Okay, yeah that's fine!" Phil says. "Umm, how long, exactly?"

"...marriage." She whispers.

"Oh..." Phil says, slightly dejected.

"Sorry." Sophia says, still whispering, looking at the floor at her feet.

"No, no, no, don't be sorry. It's okay, really." Phil says, looking at her, noticing that she won't look at him. "Look at me." He says firmly. Sophia looks up at him, tears welling in her eyes. "It really is okay. I don't mind waiting." He says smiling. A single tear falls down Sophia's cheek, and Phil reaches up to wipe it away.

"Thank you." Sophia says, the hint of a smile dancing across her swollen lips. Phil hugs her and they fall asleep together, comforted by their embrace.
