(*FLASHBACK* to the morning of their departure)

(Ivy's pov)

By the mourning we were fast out the door so we could get to this Mystic Falls place by midday. As we were half through the ride. There had already been a lot of laughter and happiness. And by laughter, I mean, when TJ had an argument with Harper and Hazel.

about how girls are just too overdramatic sometimes and that they put a whole lot of war paint on just to look 'hot' And it ended up with him getting a full face of makeup on.

Don't ask me how because I won't even know the answer. Then there was the part where Mason and Harper decided that they wanted to sing karaoke at one part.

But never mind as I was saying. Half through the ride I began to zone out. And thought about Tarras and I's conversation before we took off for our trip or like what Harper likes to call it our 'adventure'.

(Flashback in the *FLASHBACK*)

As the next day approached. And as the sun began to rise. I realized that this was actually happening. Yeah, I admit that I am nervous and anxious and afraid and— my zone out gets broken when I hear a knock on the door.

"It's open!" I yell and turn towards my balcony and look around the street below. "Hey..." Tarra says as she walks inside. I turn around and walk towards her but swiftly while walking and go towards my bed and pack the last things that I think would be useful while I am away.

"Look. Ivy, I know you have doubts about this. And you should know that it's ok to feel like that. Also, since you have never traveled before." she says, and I finished packing and closed my bag.

"Hey... look at me" she says and walks slowly over to where I am standing and puts her hand on my arm. "What if something happens to you while I am gone?" I say suddenly. And at that she looks me in the eyes and says "come on. Let's sit down for this" she takes my hand and guides us to the couch.

"Okay... listen I know that all of this might seem scary and all... but you're growing up and a part of that is to be able to move on... move out and see the world. No matter whom you might leave behind... and it sounds scary but it's the truth. Hell, I will even be waiting for you to come back. Or if you find a place where you feel comfortable and settle down, I'll be on my way to you the second I hear about it." she says and squeezes my hand. I laughed a little at the end of her 'speech'.

"You promise??" I asked her, while smiling. "I promise you. You know what? I promise you, Ivyanna Estel, that I won't let anyone lay a finger on this room. Because it will always be yours no matter that your far away this will always be a place you can call home." she says.

"Now, don't you dare tear up. Heartbeat killer. Your strong, never forget that." she says, finishing her long 'speech'.

"NOW! Give me a hug you bastard!" she yells, getting up from the couch pulling me with her.

"I am going to miss you so much" I whisper into her shoulder, as we embrace each other. "Me to, me to kiddo."

(another flashback)

"IV? Ivy? You there?" Harpers voice sounded in my ears. And that's when I realized. Iam back to present. "Yeah. Sorry, I zoned out for a bit..." I apologized. "oh well I just wanted to say that we are here." Mason says joining our conversation. "oh... wait for real?"
