Recap:
After I had made the list I ripped it off of my notepad and put it into my phone case so I wouldn't forget it was there. I then looked at the time and was happy to say it was the end of my shift so I packed my belongings and headed home.

I got home and did my normal routine before heading to bed and going to sleep. Tomorrow was going to be a long day so a good night's rest would help a lot.

The next morning, I woke up earlier to gather everything on the list in one place, making it easier for Hans' men to grab. The bike and car were not included, but they were ready for the drive, and the keys were left on the tires for easy access.

I gathered all my other essentials, such as my phone charger and headphones, and placed them in my work bag.

Considering I wasn't going to take my car to work today, I had my breakfast and took a walk in the morning air after completing my morning routine.

I left the front door keys under the welcome mat before heading towards the station. Fortunately, it was just a 20-minute walk, but I didn't mind it at all.

When I arrived at work, I went straight to my office. It was quiet; there weren't many colleagues around, only the ones who were on the night shift. I'm sure they were all tired from working the night, which is probably why they didn't say much when I walked in, other than muttering a "Good morning."

I sat down at my desk and let out a soft sigh. I opened up my computer and started going through the emails I had received overnight. Most of them were forwarded to me by the chief, as he couldn't be bothered to answer them himself.

"Fucking lazy ass," I muttered to myself, quickly answering to avoid further reminder.

I finished all of the emails within 30 minutes. Then, I decided to get up, grab the trolley from the cafeteria, and head down to the holding cells once again with everyone's breakfast.

I handed out all the items before reaching the familiar cell where Hans lay asleep. I studied his sleeping form carefully: the way his chest rose and fell as he breathed, and the position of his hands resting next to him in a bent manner.

"Handsome? Hans? Wake up, darling," I whispered loudly enough for him to hear. To my surprise, he did hear me. When he woke up, his eyes shot open, which startled me slightly. "I've got your breakfast here. You need to eat it as we have a big day ahead of us.

"We do, indeed," he grumbled in his morning voice once again, which made my knees slightly weak. He slowly got up from his lying position, got off the bed, and walked over to the bars. He took the plate and placed it on the bed before walking back over to me and wrapping his arm around my waist once again. "Good morning, beautiful.
