New developments rise from the ashes
Of long dead monarchs
Every so often
A new child is named
I wonder what the next big thing will be
I wonder if it'll have impacts on meIt's been so long I should've forgotten
When picked apart into pieces, though
You're still there
And you're glowing
And pulsing
You smell the sameI came to find out that pigeons can fly
Out to the woods
I wrote the name of you a trillion times
And I got bored
I was shaken up in a car crash
Every living soul was involved
And after all of that
Only after all of thatYou're in my hands once more
You're looking better than I'd hoped
Green for grass
Green for leaves
Green for glory
Green and golden
Do you even recognize the one you're held by?You're in my conscious once more
You may have aged but you're exactly the same
Little rips
Little tears
Little does it matter
Little was I
A time capsule like you has missed so much
A time capsule like you - I'll catch you up
