Rathore Mansion
Naintara hadn't eaten anything since morning. Breakfast, lunch—nothing had passed her lips. She had spent hours crying, lying on her bed, tears soaking her pillow as she struggled to come to terms with everything that had happened.
Exhaustion finally took over, and she slipped into a restless, uneasy sleep, her body still trembling from fear even in slumber.
Her dreams were haunted by yesterday's events—Ekansh's hands around her throat, his seething rage, the burning hatred in his eyes. Her body shook violently in her sleep, the terror replaying in her mind, and her heart raced as if she were still trapped in that moment.
Suddenly, the crash of the mansion doors flying open snapped her awake. Her heart leapt to her throat as realization hit her—Ekansh had returned.
She sat up in bed, her breath shallow and rapid, her body drenched in cold sweat. Her hands trembled uncontrollably, and her heart thundered in her chest. She wiped the sweat from her forehead, but nothing could calm the fear coursing through her veins.
Ekansh stormed into the mansion, his rage palpable, consuming the very air around him. His jaw was clenched so tightly it looked like it might break, and the veins in his neck bulged with fury. His fists were clenched, and each step he took seemed to shake the ground beneath him.
The staff, who had never seen him this furious, froze. Their instincts told them that nothing good would come from crossing his path, and they immediately fell to their knees, heads lowered in submission, even Maria. No one dared to make a sound, their hearts pounding in fear of becoming the target of his wrath.
"Out!" Ekansh's voice boomed through the mansion like a thunderclap, reverberating off the walls. The staff scattered, fleeing from the mansion in terror.
Ekansh marched toward Naintara's room, each step heavier than the last. His entire being radiated a dangerous fury, the air around him thick with menace.
Reaching her door, he kicked it open with such force that the sound echoed through the house like a crack of lightning.
Naintara, still trembling from her nightmare, flinched violently at the sound. Her wide eyes locked on him as he entered the room. His presence filled the space, his furious gaze pinning her in place like a predator eyeing its prey.
