Kyra's POV
After the Interview
"So, what is your greatest weakness?" Aarush asked.
"You," I continued, "It's you. After all these years, I still... there's no point in talking about it now. Just let me know if I passed the interview or not." I finished and left his office.
I drove aimlessly until I found myself at a quaint book café nestled in a garden on the outskirts of Mumbai. It was peaceful, with only a few people around. I went to the fiction shelf and picked up Twisted Games, ordered some food, and lost myself in the book. A notification buzzed from my phone. It was Bhaiya.
Dadaaaaaaaaaaaaaa:
Chuchundar, where are you??Me:
I'm at a café. Coming home now.
As I entered the manor, I saw my mother watching her serial in the living room. I side-hugged her and went straight to my room. I changed into my PJs, grabbed my laptop, and started playing some Hindi songs. Sitting on the balcony, I sketched designs for my upcoming project.
Suddenly, it began to rain heavily. The weather in Mumbai is so unpredictable. It was sunny in the morning, and now it's pouring. For some reason, it felt like the rain was meant for me. A few drops landed on my face, and before I knew it, tears streamed down my cheeks. I don't know how long I cried. When I checked the time, it was 7:21 PM. I washed my face in the bathroom, my eyes still red from the tears. I composed myself and went downstairs.
Mumma was still engrossed in her serial, and Bhai was in his home office.
"Hi, Mumma," I said, jumping beside her and resting my head in her lap.
"Mera bacha," she said, running her fingers through my hair.
"What's for dinner?" I asked.
"Aloo bhindi, dal, rice, and your favorite dessert," she replied, getting up. "Go call Ekansh; we'll have dinner together."
I nodded and headed to his home office.
"Oi, come for dinner!" I called. He ignored me, so I went closer and playfully hit him on the head.
"Fuck," he muttered under his breath.
"Hurry up, Bandar, Mumma ruk hai apke liya aur mere liye" I said again. He nodded, got up, and left the office. I knew something was off. I followed him to the dining table, where Mum served us. Just as we started eating, I received a notification.
It was from Shrivastav Co. The email read:

Shrivastav Co."Oh my God, oh my God! Yesssss! I'm selected!" I started dancing around the dining room.
