Quinn POV:
I'm sitting on the floor of Micah's home library in between all my books that are also on the floor, and contemplating how I should put them on the shelves.
Should I do it alphabetically? Or make a rainbow? I don't know, I've been here for 2 hours, and so far I got distracted by re-reading some of the scenes from some of my books.
Even though it's been some time since I moved all my things over here, we haven't had much time to move everything in yet.
Both with how busy we've been with work and everything, and moving around and going through some of Micah's stuff to find places for my things also took some time.
There hasn't been much time left either with all the dates Micah has arranged, he really did keep true to his promise about treating me better now that we're together.
Oh I remember last week's dinner date so clearly, he had flown us in a private jet all the way to Sicily just to have some of the best pizza and pasta Alfredo.
Oh, hearing him speak Italian, the beautiful atmosphere of the restaurant and getting dressed up so fancy, it was all looking like a dream come true and the most romantic evening, oh my god, so quick it turned into a laugh.
First thing, as we were led through the restaurant to the private balcony where our table was, my heel got stuck in one of the little grooves before the stairs.
It took some time, and even some of the staff came and helped, but we got it.
Second, I tried asking a waiter where the bathroom was, it was mostly hand signs and words of 'toilet', I thought he understood but when I was done talking, he left, I still didn't know where the hell the bathroom was so I was looking for someone else to ask but the waiter I talked to came back to me, he came back with a map that where a purple line showed a route from the restaurant to a bar down by the ocean, i think he thought I wanted a bar since he made a shoot glass drinking motion with his hand while he talked.
third, I ordered ice cream for dessert. Micah was telling a story and I was leaning in because it was so fascinating, I put my elbow on the plate while leaning in and the whole ice cream fell into my lap.
Oh, that night was something, without knowing it I have been staring out in the blue with a silly smile on my face.
"What you smiling at?" Micah asks when he walks through the door. "Nothing—" I smile as I close the book that was in my lap and put it on a stack of books on the floor, "I was just thinking about the dinner you took me to last week, the Italian dinner, remember?"
"Oh I remember it clearly" he says while walking over and sitting down beside me with his back to the bookshelf.
"I remember how cute you looked while the ice cream was dripping down on the floor when we walked out that restaurant." He takes my left hand in his.
"By the way, I thought you were gonna stack your books on the shelf?" He turns his attention to me. "Yeah I got a little distracted" I say as look down on our joined hands.
There is a few minutes of silence before he starts again, "I booked a table at that taco place you like for tonight."
"Already? Our last date out was only two days ago" I push my hair behind my ear and look up at him.
"I know there has been so many dates almost every day for the past couple weeks, but I made a promise to show you how much you deserve and to treat you better and I intend to keep it."
He lifts our joined hands and kisses my palm, I swear, I could melt for this man. Fire's rolling around in my head from giddiness.
I turn over so I sit straddling his legs, "besides, I want you to meet someone" he squeezes my hip.
