Echoes of the Outcast

I've never fit into any category, always deemed an outcast,
A wanderer in shadows, where the light seldom lasts.
Calling me words I'm not, painting a picture that's false,
Each label a prison, each judgment a heavy pulse.

You must not know my heart, but I know it isn't your fault,
For in the maze of perception, we both come to a halt.
Crying inside, cause nothing I say ever comes out right,
A symphony of silence, in the depths of the night.

We're on the same side, if I'm honest with you,
Yet you just run and hide, from the truths we both knew.
In the spaces between us, where understanding should dwell,
I reach out for connection, but find only a shell.

So here I stand, an outcast, with a heart open wide,
Hoping one day you'll see me, and stand by my side.
For in this world of labels, we're more than what we seem,
Together we can shatter the boundaries of a dream.

Reflections of Potential

I personally believe that everyone is fully capable
Of more than what they're doing, all of the bullying,
All of the screwin' around with people
They don't even really know, oh.

Eatin' a hate soufflé, and an angry bitter sorbet,
All 'cause you were bored one day,
Losing your wits and your grace,
In a world where kindness seems to stray.

Yet beneath the surface, a spark still glows,
A potential waiting, like a seed that grows.
If only we'd pause, take a moment to see,
The beauty in each soul, the strength to be free.

For every harsh word, there's a story untold,
A heart that is yearning, a spirit that's bold.
Let's rise above the chaos, the anger, the strife,
And embrace the connection that breathes life into life.

So I personally believe, with hope in my heart,
That we can choose kindness, and play a new part.
For in lifting each other, we find our own grace,
Transforming the world, one smile at a pace.

Embracing the Light

I am not a part of anything that is hateful,
In a world where shadows often play,
Love is seeping out my pores,
A gentle tide that washes pain away.

I don't hold anger anymore,
It's a weight I've chosen to release,
Even for people who hurt and betray me,
I find my solace in the path of peace.

With every breath, I cultivate grace,
Transforming wounds into seeds of light,
For in forgiveness, I find my place,
A heart unburdened, ready to take flight.

No longer bound by bitterness' chain,
I rise above the echoes of the past,
In the warmth of compassion, I remain,
A testament to love that's built to last.

So let the world spin with its trials and strife,
I'll walk my journey, hand in hand with hope,
For in the embrace of love, I find my life,
And in its glow, I learn to truly cope.
