Listen while reading

Irene sat on her bed, her heart pounding in her chest. She could still hear the echoes of her father's voice from moments ago. A hard knock sounded at her door, and she knew who it was. She wiped her tears hastily and called out, "Go away, Dad!"

But the door swung open anyway, and her father stepped inside, his expression stern. "Irene, we need to talk."

"I don't want to!" she shouted, turning away. "You don't understand anything!"

"I understand enough," he replied sharply, crossing his arms. "You will stop seeing Heeseung. Jeongin is a good match for you, and this is final. If you don't listen to me, I will have no choice but to move you to a different school."

Irene's heart sank. "You can't do that! You can't just decide who I should be with!"

"I'm your father, and I have to protect you," he insisted. "Heeseung is trouble, and you can't see that. If you refuse to listen, you'll have to face the consequences."

As he stormed out, Irene felt a mix of anger and despair. How could he not see that Heeseung was different? Her phone buzzed on the bed, and she hesitated before picking it up. It was a message from Heeseung.

Heeseung: Hey, are you okay?  Can we talk?

Her heart raced, torn between wanting to reach out to him and the fear of her father's wrath. What if her dad found out she was still talking to Heeseung?

Irene: I can't. I need to block you for now. Please understand.

After a moment's hesitation, she hit block, her heart heavy.

Heeseung stared at his phone, confusion and anger bubbling inside him. He had no idea how their moment of happiness had spiraled into this disaster. He had to know what happened.

Just then, another message popped up. It was from Yeji.

Yeji: Heeseung, you need to know something. Jay and Wonyoung set you and Irene up. They spread that rumor to get back at you both.

Heeseung's heart raced as he read the words. "What?" he whispered to himself, fury igniting within him. He quickly typed a response.

Heeseung: Are you serious?

Yeji: Yes! They're the ones who made it look bad. You need to confront them.

Meanwhile, in another corner of the school, Jay and Wonyoung were sitting together, Wonyoung looking tearful. "I don't understand how we got dragged into this," she sniffed, wiping her eyes. "We didn't do anything wrong!"

Jay looked tense, his jaw clenched. "I know, but Heeseung thinks we set him up. We have to find out who really did this."

Suddenly, Heeseung stormed into the room, his eyes blazing. "Jay! Wonyoung! We need to talk!"

Wonyoung flinched at the intensity in his voice. "What's going on?"

"You think this is funny?" Heeseung shouted, his frustration boiling over. "You two made me look like a fool in front of everyone!"

"Wait, what?" Jay snapped, stepping forward. "We didn't do anything! Why are you blaming us?"

Heeseung advanced, anger coursing through him. "I know you were part of the plan! Wonyoung, you sent the message to Irene's dad!"

Wonyoung's eyes widened. "That's not true! I—"

"You have no idea what you've done!" Heeseung interrupted, his voice rising. "You ruined everything!"

"Don't you dare talk about her like that!" Jay shouted back, stepping in front of Wonyoung protectively. "You think you can come in here and act like you're innocent?"

The air thickened with tension, and before anyone knew what was happening, fists flew. Heeseung and Jay clashed, each strike fueled by anger and betrayal.

Wonyoung cried out, "Stop! You're both being ridiculous!" But her voice was drowned out by the chaos of the fight.

As they struggled, Heeseung shouted, "You don't get to act like the victim here! You're the ones who set us up!"

With each punch, the room echoed with the sound of their conflict, the reality of their friendship hanging by a thread. They finally broke apart, panting heavily, both realizing how far things had escalated.

Wonyoung, now in tears, stepped between them. "This isn't solving anything! We need to figure out who really set this up and clear our names!"

Heeseung and Jay exchanged glances, both realizing that their fight was just a distraction from the real problem. They had to find out who had dragged them all into this mess before it tore them apart for good.
