Head over heels

Summer time!

Violet's POV:

I was sitting in Math class, bored out of my mind, as I tapped my pen on my desk. One minute left till the bell rings.

Evelyn, my best friend in whole universe, was in science, learning biology, poor girl, science was her worst subject and math was my worst subject.

My leg shook anxiously, I was so eager to get out of class. Eve and I have our whole summer planned! We'll go to the cinema, draw, read, have fun sleepovers, dancing to Queen and The cure, getting ice cream sundaes on a SUNDAY! It will be a blast. If this lesson could go any faster which it won't.

Eve told me she would teach me how to skateboard, we do ride and own bikes, but Eve likes riding her skateboard from time to time. Honestly I'll probably fall on my ass most of the time.

This school year has been very shitty, drama, Henry Bowers, boys, even more drama. So I'm glad it's over. Am I looking forward going back to school in September? Hell fucking no. Honestly I'd rather put a fork in a toaster than attended school for a week, or even a day.

No one's POV:

The school bell rang as everyone packed up to leave school for the summer. Violet packed up her books, swiftly putting them in her bag. She put the straps on her bag around her shoulders before dashing out of the classroom to find her best friend.

The hallway was filled with kids running and walking in the halls. Violet pushed past a couple of people.

Violet's POV:

These three boys were in my way, walking very, very slowly. Honestly could they be any slower? They probably could. It started to irritate me a lot I groan and push past them.

"What the fuck!?" I heard a familiar voice.

My heart dropped to my stomach as I turned around seeing the losers club. Eve and I have a BIT of drama with these kids.

The story is that I liked Bill, I still do, but anyways we became friends along with Evelyn and the other losers, we were in their friend group for a while, I confessed my feelings for Bill but I got rejected. The losers haven't talked to Eve and I since and when we tried they just ignored us or even walked away from us. They basically avoid us. I don't know if it's a game or a joke they're playing with us but it sure isn't funny or anything to laugh about.

They stared at me, I was lost for words.

"Fuck off." I said. I didn't regret saying it to Richie, he was annoying anyways.

"Violet!" I heard my best friend's voice. I turned around seeing the one and only Evelyn Davis. She ran towards me but stopped seeing the losers.

"God, what do these assholes want now? Your virgi-" She said but I cut her off by slapping my hand on her mouth.

"No. They just wanna cause more issues than they already caused." I said glaring at them.

Evelyn rolled her eyes.

"Come on, let's get away from these shitheads." Evelyn said, before I couldn't even speak she grabbed my hand and basically dragged me out of the school. We both laughed as we walked to my house, since Eve was sleeping over tonight.

"I can't believe I had to run into them..." I said giggling. Eve smiled.

"Well you handled it like a badass!" Eve said. I giggled.

"You were badass too, you know?" I smiled. So did she.

"Thanks." She smiled.

"No problem." I said giving her a wink and she rolled her eyes playfully.

"Save that wink for Bill." She said, I blushed and looked away. She laughed.

"God how do you still like him? Honestly the only good looking one out that club is Stanley." She said. I rolled my eyes.

"You have a WHOLE different taste in boys than me. Also do you have a crush on Stanley!?" I said giving her a smirk.

"What!? No! No! I do not like him! I just complimented his looks, that doesn't mean I like him." She answered my question. I sigh jokingly as we continued to walk.

"So what are we gonna do when we get to your place?" She asked. I looked at her.

"Maybe we could do karaoke together? I found my old karaoke machine, you know the one we used all the time when we were seven?" I asked and suggested. She nodded.

"Yes! I remember, god your poor mom, hearing us scream every two seconds. Where did you even find it?" Eve asked.

"My mom's closet!" I laughed. Eve laughed.

We talked about other things like Madonna's songs, what colour we should paint our nails, what songs should we sing while doing karaoke. We finally managed to get to my house. We entered and rushed upstairs to use the karaoke machine.

We sang 'Girls just wanna have fun' by Cyndi lauper, 'Material girl' by Madonna, 'What's love got to do with it' by Tina Turner, 'Bohemian rhapsody' by Queen and 'How soon is now?' By the smiths.

We sang five songs before being out of breath, we were practically screaming the lyrics.

I order a pizza for the both of us with my pocket money, we watched The Goonies while eating our pizza.

We read for a while, danced, sang, painted our nails, giving each other makeovers and eventually, we fell asleep.
