Wearing a Navy blue hood, instead of black, Junior's short locks were exposed instead of being hidden.
He was supposed to remain quiet, but arguing with the boss over a pair of sandals went nowhere. Jumping up and down and making a tantrum like a child, Junior wasn't the least embarrassed for his unwordly behavior. The reason behind this irrational motive was due to how the young mischief-maker despised wearing flip-flops due to discomfort. In the past, Junior faced foot problems after walking long distances, but most of all he hated the fact that his feet were exposed. Even if his father forced him to wear them, Junior would often leave the slippers stranded during his journeys, but keep his socks on instead.
Therefore, a pair of closed toe crocs was the final decision to be worn for the mission.
His boss, Lucifer, eyed him in disbelief, as this youthful Grim Reaper in training was rather obnoxious and failed to observe the rules.
All Junior could do to appease his boss was to widely grin like a Cheshire Cat.
Being next in line to carry the death torch as the Grim Reaper, wasn't what he had in mind, but G.R. didn't have a choice after his father decided to leave the afterlife without a trace.
Otherwise known as Junior, his tastes in clothes were rather stylish, instead of what the original angel of death was portrayed as. Junior wanted to add some pizzazz to it, as if he were a fashionista for the Underworld. He also decorated his scythe with neon gems as black was not his favorite color. Junior's excuse was that it could be used as a flashlight since where he would be going was dark and scary.
It caused the man with deviled horns to facepalm himself daily.
"You are supposed to be dark and scary! You are the Grim Reaper, Junior! Your job is to collect the souls of the dead and select where they are supposed to go once they are in Purgatory. Now there are two women in there who have been waiting patiently for an angel to retrieve them. As you work for me, do your job before our enemies send them to Heaven! NOW GO!"
Ready to torcher him, if it were not for Junior's late grandfather watching the devil's every move, Lucifer had no other choice but to deal with Mr. Dumbo.
Pointing to an upward direction, Lucifer mouthed the words for Junior to leave him be. Lightning also struck once the imp disappeared causing the little one to jump in fear.

Walking up the steps that led to Purgatory, Junior entered the room where Joleyne hid.
Blinded by the lights that Junior's scythe produced, she panicked. Thus, Joleyne quickly ran to sit in a corner holding her knees up.
Unsure how to introduce himself, Junior stood there for a minute contemplating on what to do next, before opening his big mouth.
Deciding on introducing himself first, he spoke softly at first.
"Welcome to Purgatory. I am G.R. Um, sorry to keep you waiting, Miss."
Noticing how frightened Joleyne was, Junior toned down his deep voice. "Please don't be afraid. I don't mean any harm."
Baffled on what G. R. stood for, the brunette covered her face. Joleyne didn't want the perpetrator to see her. She turned away and felt ugly inside since she was now covered with soot along with other powdery substances.
Not certain if he should touch the deceased woman's face, Junior hesitated what his next move would be. He didn't want to disappoint his boss who believed Junior was too kind and compassionate, so G.R. was warned to change his attitude.
However, at the same time, he didn't want the human to hate him for what he was about to do.
Instead of wasting precious time, the Grim Reaper picked up his Doomsday book that consisted of all the names of those who have recently died. The book's pages looked blank to outsiders, but for the angel of death, the words would appear magically.
As he opened the first pages, two names appeared.
"Are you Joleyne Slider or Elizabeth MacQuoid?" Junior questioned.
Junior looked at her smugly, hoping for a quick answer from the damsel in distress.
"'I'm Joleyne Sider, why do you ask?"
Ignoring her question, Junior looked inside his book to see if Lucifer left him another message.
"Do you know where you are, Joleyne?"
"Not really G.R. After I blacked out, I barely remember anything. But I do remember my fiancée and the diamond in my hand tells me I was going to marry him! Now, I'll never be his wife!"
Tears ran down her cheeks and Junior was about to pat her back, but stopped. He figured this was one of Lucifer's tests in order to see if he could stop being so friendly.
"You are dead. You are in Purgatory and as I am the Grim Reaper, I shall decide your fate."
Good boy!
Reading those words in the Doomsday journal, made Junior smile for his quick thinking. But that expression soon faded once Joleyne asked him an inquisitive question.
"So, I'm dead? No wonder I feel blah! Do you have a mirror G.R., so I can see how I look like?"
Without answering her question, Junior whisked a mirror in his hands. He didn't want to jeopardize himself by saying something that would anger the dark Lord below.
Grabbing the object, Joleyne was able to see the damage done to her face. Cuts and bruises remained on her cheek bones. The cut on her lip she felt earlier was now covered with dry blood. Shocked in horror, she fainted.
Noooo! You can't do this to me boss! I can't work with a dead body who won't talk to me! Please, make her wake up!
