I watched as she walked into the room with her eyes hanging low, trying to avoid all the stares coming her way, she then looked up searching for something or maybe someone...her eyes darted frantically from left to right trying to spot me.

"How did I find someone as beautiful as her?" I ask myself, instantly smiling thinking about her.

When her eyes landed on me, they became huge with joy as she started making her way over to me.

Before I met, Violet, I didn't care for much. I was barely passing my classes, stayed to myself most of the time & cared only about myself. She opened my eyes to see that there's more to life than just wasting it away. I don't care what my sister says about her...she's mine and I love her.

"Am I late?" Violet questions as she finally reaches me from across the room.

My graduation ceremony is going to start soon. I can't believe that I am graduating high school. I know for right now it seems like such a small achievement, but this feeling is everything when you never thought you would make it.

"No, but you just missed my parents," I chuckle.

Before she could utter another word, I grabbed her up in my arms and planted a big juicy kiss on her beautiful chocolate lips which has always gave me this feeling in the pit of my belly. If this is what being in love feels like, I never want it to end.

The kiss felt like it lasted a lifetime. When I pulled back from her, she had this beautiful smile on her face.

"Well, thank you," she lets out a giggle.

I nodded my head, "No problem."

"Are you hot?" she asks as she reaches up to adjust my cap a little and wipe a little of the sweat off of my forehead with the napkin she had in her purse.

"Hot as hell, got even hotter when you walked in the room," I reply making her blush again.

With all the people jam packed in this dressing room we're using to prepare for the ceremony it's a little toasty in here. It doesn't help that summer is underway.

"Here take a couple of napkins and hide them in your sleeve or something. Don't want you passing out before you even get to walk the stage. Take my water too," Violet hands me practically a hand full of napkins & her pink water bottle.

I waved her off for the water bottle taking the napkins from her hand.

"Do not do that," she chuckles opening the water bottle up and giving it to me.

I took a few sips before handing it back to her. I know she'll never let me live it down if I don't at least drink some.

"Thank you, mommy," I laugh before kissing her cheek letting her know I'm playing.

"Ew that's gross, do not call me that," she says playfully slapping her hand against my chest, wrinkling my freshly ironed polo shirt.

"Aye, aye. Step away from the merchandise," I pull back from her with my hands up.

We hear someone clear their throat before we both turn to see my sister, Tori standing there with my daughter Amber. Out the corner of my eye I see Violet roll her eyes at the sight of her.

"Thank you for picking Amber up!" I happily grab Amber out of Tori's arms.

"No problem, but next time give me some gas money," Tori complains making me shake my head.

Can't just ask anyone for a favor, they always have to get something in return.

I kiss Amber on the side of her head as I looked down at her. My greatest creation is about to see me accomplish one of my many goals.
