I woke up with a smile on my face because of Conner.

I stretched my arms out and turned over to see Conner laying right next to me asleep.

He looks so adorable when he sleeps.

My thoughts were interrupted by my phone ringing. I quickly grabbed it and answered it without looking at the caller ID.

"Hello?" I said.

"Where were you?" Mekayla's voice came through the phone.

"Where was I when?" I questioned her.

"Did you forget about my basketball game last night?" She asked with an upset voice.

Oh snap I forgot all about her game.

"Mekayla, I'm so sorry I forgot about your game." I apologized.

"You know what, whatever! Clearly you have other important things to do." She stated making me feel so guilty.

"But--" I was cut off by her hanging up the phone.

I know she did not just hang up the phone.

I pulled the phone back from my ear and looked at it in shock.

I called her back and it went straight to voicemail.

I just know she's gonna hate me forever for this.

"Everything alright?" Conner questioned from beside me.

I didn't even realise he was up.

"I missed my sister's game last night." I told him.

"Is she pissed?" He asked making me nod my head.

"It was her first game of the season and I promised her I would be there." I told him.

"I have to go make this up to her." I added as I got out of bed.

I started to put all of my clothes back on which were scattered everywhere.

"Here let me walk you outside." Conner said getting up and putting on some shorts.

After I was fully dressed, I headed outside with Conner by my side.

He opened the door for me and I got in.

"I guess I'll see you later." He said leaning through the window and kissing me.

"Yeah, I'll see you later." I replied back touching his cheek.

"I know you're about to leave and all that but you never told me what you thought about last night." He stated making a smile appear on my face.

"It was magical." I replied back to him.

I started up the car and I pulled off.

I couldn't help but to look at Conner through the rearview mirrior. He has a smile on his face.

I had to stop by the store to pick up all of Mekayla's favorite things. I know it would suck for me to walk into the house empty handed.

Once I got into the house I instantly ran to her room where I know she would be.

"Mekayla." I called from down the hallway.

I didn't hear nothing so I didn't even knock when I got to her room door.

"Knock before you enter skank." She mumbled below her breath.

I gave her a shocking look.

"Did you just call me a skank?" I questioned her knowing that's exactly what she called me.

"Yeah, that's what I call sisters who'd rather hang with boys instead of coming to support their little sister at their first game." She said rolling her eyes at me.

She turned her back so she was facing the wall as she laid on her bed.

I laid down on the other side of her bed.

"I brought you some food." I said putting the bag onto her chest.

She just started looking through the bag.

"You know I'm really sorry right?" I questioned her.

She nodded her head.

"Was mom there?" I asked her.

She shook her head no.

"She got called in the hospital again...you know how it is." She said to me.

I nodded my head in understanding. Our mom always miss important events because of her job but she's a single mother so we understand completely.

"I thought you would be there so I wouldn't feel bad but I did. Other than mom, you're the only one I have and when you're not around I feel like I have no one." She explained to me.

I know how it feels to be alone so I understand completely.

"Kayla, you're not alone, you have me. I won't miss another game, I promise." I said to her.

"Pinky promise?" She said holding out her tiny pinky.

"Pinky promise." I repeated and linked my pinky with her.

"Now who won?" I asked her about the game.

"We did of course. We won by ten points." Mekayla replied back with the biggest smile on her face.

"How many points did you score?" I questioned her.

"Twenty which was almost almost a third of the score." She answered me.

I smiled. "Okay, Okay I see you sis. You must think you're a big shot now huh?" I asked her.

She nodded her head.

"That's cuz I am. I even got the last shot before the buzzer went off." She told me.

"Wow looks like you had an amazing game, wish I could've made it." I said to her honestly.

"Yeah, me too. Why weren't you there anyways?" She asked me making me look off into space.

I was too busy sleeping with Conner...

"Conner and I were making up." I told her.

"Ooo you guys were probably making out for hours." She stated making a kissy face.

"Something like that." I mumbled making myself laugh.

"Stop making them kissy faces you silly girl." I said shaking my head.

She started laughing her loud and obnoxious laugh making me laugh.

"Shut up you dork."
