as we lean against the cool stone wall, our hearts racing. The night sky blankets us with stars, twinkling like a million tiny hopes. I can still hear Snape's frustrated voice echoing in the halls, but it fades away, leaving just the two of us in this perfect moment.
"You think he'll follow us up here?" Mattheo asks breathlessly, a playful glint in his eyes. I shrug, my heart still fluttering from our narrow escape and the warmth of his hand still clasping mine.
"Let him try," I tease, grinning back at him. It's reckless; a thrill that dances between us like the constellations above.
He steps closer, his gaze locking onto mine with an intensity that makes me feel completely seen. "You know, this place is magical," he murmurs softly, only for me to hear. "But it wouldn't be half as enchanting if you weren't here."
I laugh "You can be so cringy" I laugh as he laughs along the sincerity in his tone sends another shiver down my spine, one that promises more than just friendship. My cheeks flush, and I can't help but smile, feeling as if the world around us has blurred into a hazy background—just the two of us, suspended in time.
"Let's make a wish," I say suddenly, eyes darting to the endless expanse of twinkling stars. "One for us." I lift my free hand, pointing at the brightest star I can find, its light shimmering like a beacon.
Mattheo nods, his expression serious yet filled with warmth. "What do you want to wish for?"
Looking up, I take a breath, searching for the right words. "I wish that this moment lasts forever," I whisper, feeling the weight of the confession but knowing it's true.
He mirrors my gesture, his eyes shining as brightly as the star we're both fixated on. "I wish for the same," he whispers back, and in that shared silence, it feels as though we've tied our fates together, woven like the fabric of the night itself.
As if sensing the gravity of our wishes, a gentle breeze brushes against us, carrying away our apprehensions and fears. I feel buoyed by the sheer magic of the night, by the closeness that forms an invisible thread between us.
"I guess we're in this together, then," he says, a mischievous smile breaking through. "Running from Snape and wishing on stars."
I can't help but laugh, and it fills the air around us, mixing with the sweet smells of night-blooming flowers and youthful rebellion. In this little corner of Hogwarts, everything feels right, a world apart from the chaos and expectations that await us below.
"Together," I echo, squeezing his hand a little tighter. The promise hangs between us like a whispered secret, and I know, that whatever challenges lie ahead, we'll face them side by side. He turns and puts his hand on my cheek andhis thumb brushes against my lips I look up at him then he kisses me, I kiss back this time his lips are soft. I can feel the world around us fade, the noise of the street dimming to a distant hum. It's just us, suspended in this moment, the taste of him lingering sweetly on my tongue.
He pulls back slightly, his gaze searching mine, and I can see the question there, the unspoken hope. I smile, a shy curve of my lips, and he leans in again, more urgent this time, as if he's afraid the moment might slip away. My heart races, a wild drumbeat in my chest, and I find myself leaning into him, craving more.
His hands cradle my face, thumbs brushing my cheeks, and I lose myself in the warmth of his touch. I deepen the kiss, and I can't help but sigh against him, a soft sound that seems to encourage him further.
He tilts his head, exploring the contours of my lips, and I respond eagerly, matching his rhythm. im lost in the taste of him, the smell of his skin, the way he makes me feel like I'm the only one that matters. we slowly pull away both out of breath and then I smile,. His eyes, dark and deep, hold mine, and I can see the same wonder reflected back at me. It's as if we've stepped into a world that's just ours, where nothing else exists beyond this moment.
"Wow," he breathes, his voice barely above a whisper, and I can't help but laugh softly,
"Yeah, wow," I echo, still feeling the warmth of his lips lingering on mine. I tuck a loose strand of hair behind my ear, suddenly shy under his gaze
He brushes his thumb along my jawline, his touch sending shivers down my spine. "I've wanted to do that for so long," he admits, and I can't help but blush, a rush of heat flooding my cheeks.
"Me too," I confess, my voice barely above a murmur. The admission fills the space between us, thick and sweet, and I watch as a slow smile spreads across his face, lighting up his features.
"Good," he replies, leaning in again, but this time he pauses, searching my eyes as if asking for permission. I nod, my heart racing anew, and he closes the distance, capturing my lips once more.
This kiss is softer, more tender, as if we're savoring the moment rather than rushing through it. I melt into him, feeling the world around us fade away we pull away when we hear snape "we need to go" I say still flustered he just laughs at me "is someone afraid?" I laugh back and punch his arm playfully "no I'm not scared I just think that its risky being out here" he nods and agrees to walk me back to my dorm when we get there he just stares "what do I have something on my face" he smiles and places his hand on my cheek "no" he says in almost a whisper before gently kissing my forehead.i lean into it then look up at him "see you tomorrow" I say in a cautious tone "ill see you tomorrow" he says before walking away. i open the door and lie down on my bed and smile. he actually likes me.
