Life was starting to unfold in a good way ever since I went to the Blood Drive. The fact that I didn't have to work anymore made my day unexpectedly fun. I quit my job and did it the night before Orlando came over because I knew I would accept any offer. I was tired of making grown men pay for couple hours of me acting a certain way to satisfy their kink. Sure it made my day interesting but I enjoyed relaxing with Jan. I offered her clean clothes to switch out of and we made popcorn while watching an old Adam's family movie.

"So I'll tell you right now Orlando hate political talk. He has beef with some congressman around here and they don't hold back every time they run into each other. Jan popped one popcorn in her mouth giving me wide eyes before looking at the movie again.

"Oh really? Have they ever gotten physical?" I questioned and also ate my warm popcorn.

"Most definitely, it always end up in blood shed." Jan commented.

"What's his name?" I needed to know whose name needed to say out my mouth.

"Alec Darte." She said. "He is quite the size, body builder but Orlando knows a lot of fighting styles.

"Interesting like what?" I asked intrigued.

"Mauy Thai." She said and popped another kernel in her mouth.

"Huh, I took him for American wrestling type." I said and Jan smiled in return.

"Oh he knows that too." She informed me as her blue eyes darted back to the screen.

I forgot to mention that we were sharing the love seat since it was the only piece of furniture in the living room that was comfortable. I was rubbing sides with her and I had even brought a blanket throw since I was getting colder by the minute.

"Do you know why I'm getting cold when it's not cold?" I asked her and she nodded her blonde head at me.

"Yes, that's Orlando's blood in your system. It's fighting your blood cells and soon you'll be able to feel back to normal body temperature." Jan reassured and I nodded back before grabbing my cup of water from the side table. I had offered her something to drink even alcohol but she refused saying she was full of liquids. Drinking a lot at an event.

"The alcohol in my system and making its way up." She said licking her lips. "My lips are getting numbed.

"Do you know when Orlando will be free?" I asked nonchalant and she laughed in response.

"He'll be here soon. Sure he was at the event but it was his higher ups making me attend. They do it every month." She said and set the popcorn down suddenly. "Go hide in your room right now!"

I was a bit whiplashed by sudden alertness but didn't question her. I took my bowl of popcorn with me and all the sudden blood was rushing to my head from sudden fast movement. I was breathing hard when I shut the door slowly without much noise. I focused on my breathing and heard the lock to my house turn off and someone was let inside.

"I thought I told you to leave my friend alone." Jan said and her voice was icy cold.

"Where is she? She never hanged around vampires until today." Santi said and I kinda wished this door had a fish hole opening but it was the bedroom door.

"Creeps give me the ick." She said groaning like she was throwing up slightly.

"Dead people surviving off others give me the ick. Not the first time someone has tried messing with my mind. That's also a legal offense that he needs to be made aware of." Santi said I realized he was actually  Kelian Sanchez a wanted felon. My job never ran background checks on their customers.

"I told him it was better disposing of you but he always wants to give them the chance to back off. He gives humans so many chances." Jan said and I could her footsteps as she wanted to him.

"I'm not going away so easily." Kelian said and then I heard footsteps towards my direction but Jan pushed him down away from reaching my door.

"I should have known." I heard Orlando said suddenly in a stern voice dead of emotion. "Cockroach came back."

I heard shuffling and footsteps behind the door but I couldn't open it. A huff from someone and the door to my room opened unexpectedly making me jump startled with the popcorn in my hands. I saw Kelian passed out next to Orlando's feet and my eyes widened. Orlando was just in the buttoned down burgundy shirt from earlier. This time rolled up at the elbow exposing tattoos that I didn't realize he hand until now.

"What are you going to do with him?" I asked.

"Nothing too bad just something to remember not to come back to this house. But not with my own hands. Jan could take care of it." He said tying his hands up with a plastic zip tie. Orlando seemed frustrated but not by this intruder it was from the event. He only embraced me in his arms before sighing. His whiskey breathe engulfed my lungs and the smell of his cologne comforted me. I realized I still had the bowl of popcorn and he let me set it down so I could wrap me arms over his neck.

Being slighter taller than me made me mold under his chin and wrap around him perfectly.

"I knew I shouldn't have left you alone." He said and put a hand behind my head in soft gesture. "How's the transition of my blood on you?"

"It was a little tough but I just needed to layer up and drink more water. I'm okay." I said against his chest feeling my heartbeat thumping hard against my chest.

I looked over his shoulder to see Jan and Kelian were gone and the door was close again.

"I can help warm you up." Orlando said rubbing my arms slowly and I smiled at how his aura was changing to being sweet and caring instead of boss man when he stepped through the door.

"I would love to cuddle in my room." I said blushing when not seconds later he was jumping on my bed so he could get comfortable. Kicking his shoes off he motioned with his hands for me to join him. His bangs covering his face a bit from sudden spontaneous decision to jump on my bed. I couldn't resist his cute loving embrace so I rushed towards him.

I found love unfolding between us naturally as I felt safe and secure in his arms. My breathing returned to normal after a while and he kept running his hand through the ends of my hair causing shivers to run down my spine.

"I was looking forward to this moment all day." He whispered but I was laying on top of him so the vibration of his voice rang throughout my body.

"Your presence is welcomed." I whispered back and found him smiling at my words.

"Hopefully my love is welcomed into your heart as well." He said as his other hand raised the bottom of my chin for a delicate soft kiss. Our lips touched and rubbed against each other in a lover's intention to make the other get weak. I did crumple slightest under his presence under my body and slightly moaned. That muscular body was touching me in the right ways that although I couldn't feel him much because it felt like my body was tingling all over getting numb he was pressed correctly against me.

"Don't make my mind run wild with that soft moan. I'm trying to control myself." Orlando said and chuckled when I bite my lip so I could refrain myself as well.

"I'm going to take my time with you." He said after a while and we both got accustomed to the new feelings that could melt anyone's willpower.
