"A-Ah!" Thi En Tran almost moaned. The pleasure of having pure world energy flowing through his meridians was intoxicating. However, this intense feeling was soon backed up by pain, like someone had sent a fist through his belly.

Faint wisps of qi began to condense around him which was quickly absorbed, and the roaring energy felt like it was going to rupture his eardrums. It was a sound only heard by those just embarking on the path of the martial dao, tuned only to resonate with their souls.

Having already heard this back when he was a child, he grit his teeth and faced it head on, his expression hardened like a dried up well.

Deep within his flesh, black particles gathered together in this lower abdomen and pulsed with light that gave off a yellow hue, then manilla like parchment. Its brightness grew in intensity, which could be likened to a full moon among a starry night.

After a full hour of circulating his Nine Heavens Yang Secret Art, he suddenly passed out, and after another hour, Thi En Tran awoke.

His body was sticky of sweat and he was panting like crazy. The formation of the hard orb inside him took as much effort as bashing rocks for a week straight. Naturally he was tired. If one saw the look on his face, though, they would see that Thi En Tran was brimming with Joy.

"It went much better than expected!" Thi En Tran said to himself.

He nodded in satisfaction, although nobody was around to see it. But when he inspected his body again, he found something strange.

"This body is crazy! It has an immense aptitude for cultivation" Thi En Tran grinned "It also has an innate affinity for fire attributed qi, and even a special constitution!"

Thi En Tran the heavenly demon was renowned for his ruthlessness and fire attributed martial skills. Once, he had passed by a small town of ordinary mortals and saw a young master of a low level sect act arrogantly towards its inhabitants. Enraged by his presumptuousness, Thi En Tran turned him into a mist of blood and during the night, razed his entire sect to the ground! When he attacked, a wave of energy comparable to an atomic bomb was released, and scorched the land which caused it to remain inhospitable to this day.

Being able to use his old skills and techniques made Thi En Tran very happy. But, what made him overjoyed was that the flow of qi through his meridians was very natural, quite unlike a person who had just started exploring the heavenly way. Furthermore, his body seemed to naturally temper itself as long as he gathered the ambient qi in the world, which could only be done if he had a special constitution.

Thi En Tran realised that his Martial Ancestor's technique wasn't flawed after all, it was just that his skills weren't sharp enough to see what kind of gift he had been bestowed. Thien suddenly got on the floor and kowtowed, wholeheartedly yelling "Thank you martial ancestor for blessing this unworthy disciple!"

Afterwards, Thi En Tran stood up and threw a swift punch. As his fist flew through the air, it caused a faint breeze to flow past. The entire world seemed to shake as it collided with the wall in front of him, causing a spider web of cracks to form.

"Not bad!" Thi En Tran laughed, his face fixed in an ever growing smile.

With a new power by his side, Thien knew that nobody underneath the expert level would be his opponent. Although a newly promoted cultivator, his comprehension of the martial dao and the latent potential of his body was second to none.

...

Bu Lan Deng was in the courtyard, his knuckles white on the broom handle and his robe carried by the wind as he swept up leaves from the floor, keeping things tidy. All of a sudden, he saw a figure charging at him which stirred up dust and other debris he had just meticulously cleaned. A vein seemed like it was about to explode on Bu Lan Deng's forehead, and he internally swore that he would teach this intruder a lesson.

"Senior brother Bu! Ahahaha I'm so happy to see you," Thi En Tran shouted with wide arms.

"Oh junior brother, what could possibly have happened to make you so happy?" Bu Lan Deng quickly realised it was his friend Thi En Tran and accepted his offer for a hug. "Don't tell me you have finally met somebody here..."

"Nothing of the sort, senior brother." Thi En Tran chuckled, dragging his foot around in the gravel. "I came here to tell you that I plan to leave this place!"

"Leave this place? Junior brother, where did this newfound courage appear from?" Bu Lan Deng asked incredulously.

While they hadn't known each other for long, they were still fairly good friends and before they were friends, Bu Lan Deng had seen how frail and weak Thi En Tran's body was. How could he even dream of escaping?

"Before you say anything senior brother Bu, I have finally awakened!" Thi En Tran picked up a rock and promptly crushed it to bits in his right hand, spraying bits of gravel everywhere. "I have a way for you to begin cultivation as well."

Bu Lan Deng suddenly became dizzy. He was probably the strongest slave in the camp, but now his strength had been dwarfed by the weakest kid.

"Huh... How did you even...? Nevermind that junior brother, if we both learn to use qi, an escape attempt is indeed feasible!" He patted Thi En Tran on the back with an open palm. "If you are willing, please teach this one!"

With Bu Lan Deng by his side, breaking out by force would definitely be possible even if they were newly promoted cultivators due to his immense strength. With that, Thi En Tran and Bu Lan Deng went to the mine to gather materials.
