Tissues woke up as usual, somehow still not fatigued enough to be unable to get out of his bed. He was as exhausted as if he had just ran a full marathon, although he just got up. He dragged himself out of his room, sneezing a couple times on the way and almost waking Trophy.
Not like he cared, anyway. He had given up on trying to be a good roommate towards Trophy. After all, Trophy was such a jerk, so doesn't that mean Tissues has the right to be one, too?
He stumbled down the stairs, grabbing the handrail. Tissues made a beeline for the kitchen, opening a cupboard only to find nothing. OJ really needed to get some more supplies. Too bad he's busy constantly overworking himself on other things he deemed as "more important".
A normal person would just shrug to themselves and slam the cupboard door shut, but Tissues very clearly is not a normal person. He stood on his tippy toes, still searching around in the cupboard.
"How long has this kitchen been empty...?" Tissues wondered out loud.
"Don't expect us to know." A painstakingly familiar voice with an Italian accent rang out, echoing around.
Yang.
Tissues flinched, stumbling backwards and nearly hitting his head on the floor. "W-who said that!?"
"Yaaaang..." Yin scolded, putting a hand on his hip. "How many times do I have to tell you, you need to give someone a heads up! They're gonna get...scared!"
"Oh, shut up, Yin. It's funny!" Yang retorted.
Tissues had a mostly blank expression on his face during this entire exchange. "What are you two doing up so early?"
"Why can't we ask you the same thing?" Yang rolled his eyes.
"I always wake up this early. What do you mean?"
"You wake up at 4 in the morning every day!?" Yin exclaimed.
Tissues nodded. "It's only to get some time alone. I bet Trophy enjoys it, as well." He walked past the two brothers and sat down on the orange, threadbare couch, turning on the TV, only to be greeted by the news reporting a horrible, tragic story as usual.
Yin-Yang sat next to Tissues. "It's always so sad! How horrible do you have to be to do these kinds of things to others?" Yin pouted, gazing at the TV.
Yang looked away. "U-um, not me." He lied.
Tissues raised an eyebrow at Yang, but decided not to take much notice of it.
Yang grabbed the remote from Tissues. "Let's watch something else! This is BORING."
"Yang." Yin groaned. "It's always good to keep up on the current events in the wor—"
"Nerd!" Yang teased as he flipped through the channels on the TV, landing on Kid Cosmic.
"I love that show..." Tissues smiled weakly.
"You have good taste!" Yin complimented.
"O-oh," Tissues got a little flustered, his face turning red. Nobody really complimented him all that much. "Thanks, Yin..."
"No problem, I'm always—"
"I'M TRYING TO WATCH TV HERE!" Yang snapped.
"Oh, sorry." Yin turned silent.
Tissues felt his head throbbing a bit, but that was common. He ignored it.
After all, it wasn't that bad. He was used to it, he'll be fine.
Totally fine.
\\ okay so this chapter was pretty short at only 500 words or so, but its kind of an introduction to the characters yadda yadda yadda fghbfgjsfdhgjsdf, dont worry though!! Most chapters will be wayy llonger ^^ !!!!
