And you see yourself becoming someone else.

it had been four months since the drama happened. She used to work with the dodgers. But was fired because Susan, a person who was working under her, said that she was bullying the media department. Which wasn't true at all. But the dodgers had already had her on thin ice after she made a bad call on the ninth about a pitching change.

She was out of work for a few months until the Yankees picked her up as their new assistant manager. She was excited because she was working for such a historical team. But she had the looming fear of what this could mean for her.

Her time with the dodgers she was young. Maybe she was too trust of everyone. So she decided she would have to be more rough with this team. Not get close to the staff or players.

New York was very different from California. the way people handled themselves was different and she was slightly scared about the city in general. The news broke today that she was joining Aaron Boone with managing the Yankees along side him. People didn't take it too nicely. there was a lot of hate online for her but she tried to ignore it.

"Alright team bring it in! This is my assistant manager, she is replacing Jeff. You will treat her with the same if not better respect than you do me. She's a brilliant mind."

Her face flushed as she looked around. She felt lost. She didn't know the team. She didn't know anyone here other than the super stars. "Hello, my names ___. I hope we can get 28 together." Her speech was quick and short. But she felt the eyes of the team linger on her.

They probably all wondered why she washed up here. They didn't know her back story. How she truly did nothing wrong. But she couldn't say nothing because she was scared it would just end the same way. Gosh she missed all of her friends on the team. But after she got fired non of them talked to her anymore. She bet non of the team even knew she went to the Yankees.

It was her first day when she got to make her the roster. Boone put her in charge of it for the week to see what she was able to do. She decided to put it in the order of gleyber, Soto, Judge, Stanton, Cabrera, wells, Jazz, Volpe, Verdugo. When she came to the dugout she had a feeling familiarity. That's when she felt a tap on her shoulder.

"Hello, I just wanted to say I'm excited to work with you. I know not everyone saw it but that move in the ninth was a great one. And we need people to have trust in us to make moves like that. I'm glad you're here." It was Juan Soto that said these words to her. She let a small smile past her lips.

"Thanks, now go warm up." She couldn't get close again she had to leave him alone. Soto flashes her a quick smile before rushing off.

As she watched the team she couldn't help but look at her phone that buzzed.

god she couldn't cry now. But she felt her eyes tearing up and she couldn't help it. She went to Aaron judge to let him know she would be gone for a moment and to make sure the team did their warm ups.

Her first week making the line ups and managing the team she went 5-0. She was so proud of herself. She did it. She really did. As much as she did miss the dodgers she knew this was better for her. But she couldn't help but feel confused. She left her entire life back there. Her friends, her family who where life long dodger fans haven't talked to her since she got fired, the job she worked so hard to get respect at.
