An: pls enjoy friends. Unedited btw
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~"Dude, get me something to eat before I vomit," Matthew said, reeking of his best friend's dad's expensive liquor that he took without asking. His huge body spiraled on the couch in his best friend's home. Jacob's living-room was a mess, and though he loved his drunken best friends, the mess in his house was starting to bother him."I'll get your smelly ass some food when you start cleaning my living room now
"Goshhhh, fine! I like cleaning anyway," his other best friend, Antonio said. He was the baby of the group and the most wild. Jacob loved people like that because it was
always something he wasn't allowed to be. Jacob's phone buzzed in his jean pockets, indicating a message—one he was positive he didn't want to see. "Alright, I'll be back. I have to piss. Keep cleaning, and I'll get you both some wings or something."
"Thanks, Dad!" Antonio said with a silly, drunk smile, watching his friend go to the bathroom.
When Jacob entered the bathroom, he let out a sigh. He knew exactly who was bothering him, and he knew exactly *why* she was bothering him. He closed the toilet lid and sat on top of it, pressing his phone to his ear and waiting for her to pick up."Blair, what do you want?" he said, just wanting her to leave him alone.
"Oh, come on, Jacob! What do you mean, 'what do I want?' I want you to come over... I'm lonely," Blair said. She was very slick and used her status well, especially when it came to her little toy, Jacob.
"I don't care about you being fucking lonely. Leave me the hell alone. The last thing I'd ever do is come near you. Get that through your thick, empty head," Jacob said in a quiet hiss, not wanting his friends to dig deeper into this situation.
Blair was a manipulator who was not only using her status as a rich politician's daughter but also using Jacob's status to gain popularity. She also knew that Jacob was the heir and next in line for his father's million-dollar company and Additionally, she was well aware of the illegal things his family had been doing for generations to get to where they are currently.
"Come on baby, don't you miss me? We used to have so much fun, remember?" she said, toying with him. "I was never happy with you, and you know that. You were cheating on me the whole relationship. Stop acting stupid."
"Stupid? Ha. That's cute. If you knew what was good for you, you'd keep that sexy mouth of yours shut future boss," she said, venom laced in her tone. "Anyhow, my daddy will be meeting with yours this Wednesday to discuss business. I'm assuming you'll be there, which means I'll be there! I'll see you soon, Jay. Bye!" And with that, she hung up. Jacob was pissed and if his father wasn't in cahoots with her's he wouldn't hesitate to get rid of her. was trying to calm down so his friends wouldn't start questioning him, which reminded him to order those damned wings.
Once he was in the living area with his friends settled onto the couch, he watched in amusement as his friends argued about the dumbest things possible.
"Dude! You clearly cheated!" Antonio shouted at Matthew
"You can't even cheat at jenga, you just suck."
It was embarrassing to watch two huge, adult men argue over a game but he loved every moment of it.
His thoughts came to a stop as his doorbell rang, signaling that it was time for a late-night snack. He walked to the door, expecting someone named "Ro," as described by the driver on the food delivery app. He wasn't expecting anything or anyone specifically, but he was definitely surprised when he opened the door to find someone he definitely wasn't expecting: a familiar face.
He stared at her face; something about the little scar above her eyebrow had him trying to find what his brain was telling him to look for.
"So, do you just stare at all of your food carriers like this, or am I special?" she said looking slightly annoyed, snapping him out of the trance he was in. His face turned a bright crimson red, showing how embarrassed he was to be caught staring at a complete stranger.
"I'm so sorry. I promise I'm not a jackass or anything; I just got lost in thought," he said. Though he couldn't stand his father, he was raised better than to do anything that would make a woman uncomfortable. Yes, his father was a greedy, cold blooded killer, who was also a money-loving bastard, but he wanted his children to be better than him and the ones before him.
"Eh, no problem. Take your food before it gets cold," she said with fake smile he could easily see through. Jacob was quick to reach into his pocket to give her a hefty tip, but she was driving off before he could lift his head up from his pockets.
Later that night, he threw a big quilt on his passed-out friends, went to his bedroom, and stripped himself of his clothes. Laying in the bed, which was way too big for one person, he wondered why "Ro" wouldn't leave his mind and if she'd been there the whole time.
