Being a bearer of an Ancient Name in the Children of Echoes hasn't been really a great experience for Kachina lately. She was always bullied by the people in her tribe, sputtering out insults and hurtful things here and there. They kept saying how she didn't deserve to get an Ancient Name, and that she's weak. She would always ignore their words, but she couldn't help but think that maybe, what they were saying is true... though she would always hide it by masking a smile and trying to think positively.

Outside of her tribe, she's friends with two people who were also Ancient Name bearers, Mualani from the People of the Springs, and Kinich from the Scions of the Canopy. They were excellent warriors, and Kachina has always looked up to them and admired them for their strength.

One day, after getting yet again another batch of insults from the people in her tribe, she walked up to Mualani and Kinich, who were waiting for her the whole time.

"Hey, what took you so long? And why the long face..?" Mualani asked with an obvious hint of concern in her tone.

Kachina didn't really like talking about her problems to her friends, thinking she would just be a burden to them. She shook her head and waved her hands dismissively as she spoke, "I'm fine, I just... got caught up with some tribe work, that's all." She answers with a nervous smile.

Kinich sighed, not buying her excuse at all, "You sure? You sounded unsure with your answer. It's fine, just tell us what's bothering you."

Kachina tried to make up another excuse, but suddenly sighs in defeat and answers honestly with a reluctant tone, "The people in my tribe... they keep telling me that I'm weak and that I don't deserve getting an Ancient Name."

Mualani and Kinich looked at each other, nodding their heads before turning their attention back to Kachina, "Wait here for a moment..." Mualani says with a small smile on her face, but her eyes showed a flicker of anger towards the people who said those mean things to her.

Mualani and Kinich started walking towards the Children of Echoes, leaving Kachina looking confused and worried. After a few minutes, the two returned with satisfied looks on their faces, making Kachina look even more confused.

"What did you two do...?" She asks them with a mix of concern and confusion in her tone.

"Let's just say... we talked to the people who insulted you." Kinich replies with his arms crossed, not wanting to tell Kachina what really happened.

Mualani knelt down in front of Kachina and gently places a hand on her shoulder, "Don't listen to them, okay? You are strong in your own way, you were given an Ancient Name for a reason... you must cherish it and never look down on yourself. Just keep learning and believing in yourself, okay? Also, promise me that you'll say the truth this time when something's bothering you?" She asks with a serious but gentle tone.

Kachina stared at her for a moment, small tears forming in her eyes as she spoke, "Yeah, I promise.. and, thank you, for always being there for me..."

Mualani smiled and pulled both Kachina and Kinich for a hug, "You're welcome, me and Kinich will always support you and help you with what you need. We will always be together, forever."
