ˊ ˗ '"And then he flew down from the sky and blasted him with a hugeee laser canon!!" Kenny gushed in excitement, tripping over his feet slightly as the small family of four made their way out of the cinema room and towards the exit.
Raising her brows in amusement, Belladonna sent the boys mother a look which all but screamed "I told you so", and received a small chuckle and roll of eyes in return. Gently running her fingers through the small boys dark brown locks, Belladonna smiled down at her nephew before coming to a small halt before the exit.
"I'm glad you enjoyed the movie, little man - Iron man is a pretty cool superhero if I don't say so myself" the blonde woman observed with a grin, causing Donna to snort. "Oh yes, you really couldn't take your eyes off this superhero, especially when he lost his shirt somewhere along the way."
"Did someone say ice-cream??" Belladonna quickly spoke out loud, ignoring the other women's laugh as both Kenny and Ellie perked up instantly, cheers of delight escaping past their mouths as they bounced eagerly in joy, rushing ahead of the two women to the small ice cream parlour sat just outside the cinema.
"Gem invited you to dinner tomorrow night." Belladonna spoke, casting a short glance towards her friend. "Of course she did, are you going?" The blonde shrugged her shoulders in return to Donna's question.
"I haven't really decided. I owe it to Piney, and Gemma. I never made an effort to show my face any other time I've been in town, plus I can only run from the queen of Charming for so long," Belladonna joked with a small smirk, nudging Donna with her hip. "I'm not saying you have to go, but how long can you really stay away before one of them comes knocking? The club has tabs on you regardless, you know that."
Donna let out a tired sigh, fingers pressed against her temple as they neared the kids, whose eyes bore into the ice cream display case with pure excitement.
"I'm just not sure, B." Placing a gentle hand on Donna's shoulder, Bella nodded towards a table by the window whilst sending her friend a soft smile.
"It's your choice, I won't tell you what to do. Now, let me go sort those two out an ice cream each before Kenny starts licking at the glass."
It didn't take long before both kids had chosen their ice creams and toppings, and were now happily munching away at the cold desserts. Opting for a scoop of strawberry ice cream with sprinkles herself, Belladonna handed Donna a small vanilla cup before taking a seat herself.
The small family sat in silence for a while, just enjoying their ice creams. Belladonna didn't mind this, and she could tell her friend didn't either. After collecting the package from the clubhouse the other day, Donna had seemed a little less stressed than usual. Of course, the blonde women had an idea of what was inside the infamous yellow envelope, she'd grown up seeing her dad come home with the same yellow envelope every few weeks.
Casting a glance towards the window of the small ice cream parlour, Belladonna couldn't help but feel as though the small family was being watched. It was a subtle feeling, nothing too intense, but growing up in the environment she did, the Jones girl learnt to have eyes everywhere from a young age.
"Wait here a sec, Don. I've just got to step outside for a few minutes, alright?" Nodding towards her friend, Donna turned back towards her two children with a smile on her face as Belladonna made her way outside.
The sun was setting, casting its golden glow upon the quiet street as the blonde woman made her way across the road. Her heels clicked loudly beneath her feet as she walked, arms crossed over her chest in hopes of gaining some warmth from the black leather jacket she wore.
As soon as Belladonna had stepped outside the ice cereal parlour their eyes had locked, a small smirk falling onto the culprits face as the young woman sent him an accusing look.
"Mummy got you keeping tabs, Teller?"
Coming to a halt in front of the three men, Belladonna raised her brows to the blonde male whose smirk grew into a shit eating grin as he slouched against his bike.
"No idea what you're talkin' about, Darlin."
Rolling her eyes in annoyance, Belladonna zoned in on Jax. "Give her some space, Jackson. I know the club and Opes got you keeping tabs but they're fine with me, scouts honour." Sending a sarcastic salute towards him, Belladonna made no attempt at sticking around to hear his response.
"I find it hard to believe that the same girl who's scared of moths could protect herself, let alone 3 other people." Jax voiced from behind the girl pointedly, causing Belladonna to halt her steps.
Turning around quickly, the blonde women walked towards Jax who was now standing, both of them locking eyes with a small smirk and before he had any chance to react, her hand quickly shot out towards his waist, hooking a finger in the belt loop of his loose jeans before reaching round and grabbing the small handgun from the back of his pants, aiming it directly into the centre of his undeniably toned stomach.
Belladonna could hear the click of a gun being cocked back besides her, but she wasn't phased. Stood two heads shorter than Jax, Belladonna casted a glance up towards the shocked male from under her lashes.
"Don't tell me you forgot who my daddy is, Jackson?" Kissing his teeth, Jax and Belladonna held an intense stare before the women laid the gun flat against his chest, signalling for him to take it.
"Your friends quick, but just not quicker than me it seems." No words were said from the blonde male, whose hand now rest of the top of her own as he took the gun from her hold. Jax was at a loss for words, that much was obvious.
Stepping back, Belladonna turned towards the unnamed man whose glare burned into the side of her head. Cocking her head to the side, she ran her eyes over his face briefly before turning around and walking away.
"Put your gun away, baldy. It would be a waste to shoot something so pretty."
And with that, Belladonna returned back inside the ice cream parlour without casting another glance behind her, a small smirk on her face as she felt their stares burn into the back of her head as she walked away.
