Monday// November 10th,
9:55 am

Walking through my classroom door and sit down at my normal seat where I normally sit I was greeted by my classmates.

"Browning how yuh look so this morning, yuh just a glow so like yuh take hood recently mn," one of the boys said who was sitting in a group.

"Watch yah tru her man drop her off a schoool she a gwaan so," a girl whispered to her friends.

I choose to ignore them because I want peace. And cursing people isn't apart of my lifestyle anymore.

Nae came in and sits down beside me.

No one said anything. Oookkkaayyy a me them have strength for.

"We have com studies now?" Nae asked.

"Yes. Think you would've known by now.

"After me nuh have good memory." She said.

"Yuh memba fi wine pon hood though." I whispered, her eyes widened when I said that. 

"Shut up yuh mouth, you disgusting can't believe me call yuh me cousin. Move from side if me." She whispered and I laugh while she tried moving away from me.

It's lunch time and me, Nae and two of her other friends are sitting at the gazebo waiting for our lunch.

"Not gonna lie me hungry bad eno." I said with a sigh.

"Like yuh neva eat nothing this morning," Nae said.

"I know you're hungry Nae you just don't want to admit it," I turned to face her.
After two minutes we engaged in a conversation when I felt a tap on my shoulder.

"See why you must not leave yuh head back to the road," I said with a turn to see who tapped me.

"The one time you dweet no tru." Nae said and I gave her the 'exactly' look.

There stood this girl who looked like around 5'8 or 5'9, light complexion.

"You're Nashaina right?" The girl asked

"Who's asking?" I asked her.

"Me," she said.

"I'm Tania up coming head girl," she added.

"Ok, and it Nashannia," I said.

"Right got it Nashania," she said clearly she didn't pronounced my name correctly Nae's eye and I made four then I look back at her.

"I know I should've been here to greeted you the first day but I was busy," she said as I finally get to look at her face. She was smiling but didn't look genuine. 

I was looking at her short skirt that's two inches above her knee and she's a what? Upcoming head girl?

"Your name sounds familiar like I've heard it before," she says rubbing her chin. "Ooh yes! Nashania my sister Georgey told me a lot about you and what happened the day you guys met." She says with a fake laugh.

"It's good to know that you're her sister, nice to meet you Tania," I said.

"See you around," she said walking off.

"That was weird," Jovia said. 

She's new also, she started school last Wednesday.

I like her.

But not like that though. My subconscious said.
