Part 2

Kim Taehyung was head of his own Omega Etiquette school of a few packs. He took his calling serious.

The Omega Etiquette school was to teach Omegas skills like managing a household, social etiquette, support for their mates, child care and other things that will make an Omega a sought after mate.

Taehyung was considered "on the shelf", past his prime.

A wolf could mate from 18 years old. Destined mates were not common anymore, most matings were chosen, real love matches. Taehyung, who was 29 already, did find his destined mate, but they rejected each other. Taehyung's mate was a crude, boorish, masochistic Beta called Kang Jihoon.

Taehyung on the other hand was educated, kind, soft spoken, very beautiful, but not very submissive, which was one of the reasons Jihoon did not want to mate with him. He believed an Omega mate had to be submissive, have no say and follow his mate's word as law. And that was definitely not Taehyung.

He was happy with his life, making sure Omegas knew to be strong in their own right.

Taehyung was walking to his house on the edge of town. Little kids running next to him, jumping and playing. They loved the Omega, he always had treats for them at his house.

After giving them all a cupcake, he started making himself a fruit salad. The weather has been really nice, perfect for fruit salad and ice cream.

A knock at his door surprised him, but he quickly wiped his hands and went to open it.

"Good afternoon, Taehyung, hope you are doing good."

"Hello Eunwoo, I am, thank you, hope you too. How can I help you?"

"Alpha Choi wanted to see you at the pack house if you have time."

"Oh! Goodness, of course, let me just wash my hands quickly then I am ready."

Tae washed his hands, put the fruit away and made sure his clothes were neat. He then went with Eunwoo to the pack house.

On reaching, he was met with Mina, the Alpha of the Crescent Moon pack's 19-year-old Omega daughter. She ran and hugged him; they had a very close bond.

"How are you Tae? I miss seeing you every day." "I am good Mina, you look amazing, so proud of you."

They chatted a little until Alpha Choi came out of the packhouse.

Tae immediately went with the Alpha to his office.

"Thank you for coming Taehyung. I have a huge favour to ask from you, but you can absolutely refuse, I will not blame you."

Tae was a little confused but waited for the Alpha to continue.

"Have you heard of the Blue Crystal pack, up North, near the mountains?"

"Yes, Alpha, they are a very big pack, they have immensely rich mines and is a very prosperous pack, if I am not mistaken. They are not farmers like us."

"Yes, that is correct, Taehyung. Well, their Alpha, Jeon Junghyun, passed away unexpectedly, and his son, Jungkook, took over as pack Alpha. He is however only 24, so he is still learning, but has the support of his mom the Luna, and he has friends that also support him. The Luna has contacted me, to enquire if I would be open to an arranged match between Jungkook and Mina. I have discussed with Mina, and she agreed to visit the Blue Crystal pack before deciding. You know she has always believed in her destined mate, a true romantic at heart, but reality is different."

"I am not sure why you need me Alpha, how can I help?"

"She wants you to go with her, she trusts no-one else. I have discussed with Luna Jeon and explained. She agreed to Mina's visit and you accompanying her. It is however your choice."

Tae was a little flabbergasted, he has never left the safety of his pack, but to be honest, he would really like to learn more about the other pack.

"Alpha, can you give me a day to consider, please? I will need to have someone step in at the school as well, especially if I am away for quite some time, which it might be if Mina connects with the Alpha."

"Of course, Taehyung, you can give me your answer tomorrow afternoon."

With that, Tae bowed and left.

Mina was waiting for him at his house.

"So?? Did daddy talk to you Tae? Will you go with me?"

"Mina, it is a big favour, so I promised to sleep on it and will give my answer tomorrow afternoon."

"I understand Tae, but I really want you with me, and who knows, you might meet your special person as well. He is definitely not in this pack or the surrounding packs. And you are not getting younger, Tae."

"Mina! If I go it will be for you, not to shame myself hunting for a possible mate. Goodness, and I am not 30 yet, there is still hope!"

They have had this "fight" a few times already. Mina, being a romantic, wanted Tae's happy ending for him, but their small pack and neighbouring packs had just no possibilities. And she knew, if Tae ever found someone, he will have to be really powerful, strong, patient and special. Because Tae was not your average Omega, he was one of a kind.

Tae spent the afternoon and evening thinking about the offer. He was a curious Omega, with a passion for knowledge and visiting such a pack as the Blue Crystal pack, wow, he could learn so much. But he was a small-town Omega, might not fit in in such a big pack, I mean, Blue Crystal is a pack of over 5000 wolves, Crescent Moon was just 200 wolves, and the surrounding packs the same numbers. All 7 neighbouring packs together did not even reach 2000 wolves.

He did not have a family anymore; his parents were old when they had him and have passed away already. He was also an only child. He did not feel comfortable discussing this with his few friends, they would not have serious input. They were all mated, so their focus would be on home, not rushing off to another pack for heaven knows how long.

He went to bed, still not sure of his decision.
