Branch hugs back, sobbing.
A little while later, Branch fully calms down and there is another knock at the door.
"I'll get it!" yells Poppy.
She opens the door and gasps, tearing up.
"You..." Poppy began.
"Eh, nice to see you again, Poppy." says Creek.
Branch recognizes his voice, and runs to protect Poppy, but then it's too late...
Creek was choking her, Poppy in mid-tears.
Branch shoves Creek, catches Poppy, sets her down and closes the door.
Poppy sits up and starts sobbing, terrified.
"Hey, it's okay.. you're safe now." Branch promises.
"No I'm not! H-he could s-still be out t-there..!" Poppy sobs, terrified.
"Poppy.." Branch walks over and gives her a hug. "As long as I'm here, no one can hurt you.."
"You say that all the time and yet s-something always h-happens.." Poppy says.
"Hello?" John Dory yells, pounding at the door.
"It's my brother.. I'll get it I guess." Branch says, walking toward the door.
Branch opens the door.
"Hi I guess.." Branch says.
John sees Poppy on her bed looking terrified.
"Why does Poppy look so frightened?" asks John.
"Well.. long story short: her ex boyfriend came and he hurt her by choking her." Branch replied
"Damn.. she alright?" John asks
"No.. she's horribly horrified.." Branch replied in a sad tone
"Well I better go.. see you guys later." John says
"Alright bye bro." Branch says, closing the door.
Branch walks over to Poppy.
"Are you alright?" Branch asks after seating himself on Poppy's bed.
"Yes I'm f-fine.." Poppy says with hesitation
"Are you sure.. you hesitated.." Branch says worrying
Poppy pulls herself in Branch's arms, sobbing.
Branch rubs her back. "It's alright.."
