Vi's POV:
Dean and I are sitting at a table waiting for Sam. I'm still eating my bacon double cheeseburger and cheese fries, as Dean's plate is mostly empty. He is circling obituaries in the newspaper. I'm sitting here being quiet when a waitress comes up. "Can I get you guys anything else?" She asks, staring at Dean as I finish up my fries. I roll my eyes. Praying for Sam to come faster. Dean looks up and grins behind the pen he's been chewing on. Which to me, is just plain creepy. Sam comes and sits down next to me. "Just the check, please." He tells her. "Ok." She says, to me I think I heard some disappointment in her voice. She walks away. "Thanks." I say in a sickly sweet voice as she walks away.
"You know, Sam, Vi, we are allowed to have fun once in a while." Dean says while pointing at the waitress, "That's fun." He tells us.
I shake my head, "No, Dean-o, that's fun." I say pointing to some random hot dude my age. Dean glares at me and Sam just looks at me. "What? I'm not aloud to look?" I question, "At least I don't go around acting like Dean." I mutter under my breath. I shake my head, "Nevermind. Dean what ya got?" I ask them. They roll there eyes and Dean hands Sam the newspaper.
"Here, take a look at this, I think I got one. Lake Manitoc, Wisconsin. Last week Sophie Carlton, eighteen, walks into the lake, doesn't walk out. Authorities dragged the water; nothing. Sophie Carlton is the third Lake Manitoc drowning this year. None of the other bodies were found either. They had a funeral two days ago." Dean says as Sam looks at the paper.
"A funeral?" I question, curiously. "Why a funeral if they don't have a body?"
"Yea. It's weird. They buried an empty coffin, for uh, closure or something." Dean tells us.
"Closure? What Closure? People don't just disappear, Dean. Other people just stop looking for them." Sam says.
"Something you wanna say to me?" Dean asks. I roll my eyes, "If you two are doing what I think you're doing I'm going to walk back to the Motel." I say and turn around, walking off. I turn behind me and see them nod and continue there conversation.I walk past a park and see some kids playing. I walk to a tree and sit down. Usually Sam and Dean take a while, so I have time. I've been around them for a while, and I need some time to myself. I see a little girl walking towards me, "I'm sorry to bug you, miss, but have you seen my bubby?" She asks, standing in front of me. She's maybe like six or seven. "You're fine. I don't know if I have. What'she look like?" I ask. "He's tall and has jeans and a blue shirt. He also has black hair." She tells me. "When was the last time you seen him?"
"He brought me to the park, and told me he would be in the same place. So Iwent to go get him and he was gone. I've been waiting for a while."
"Ok. What's your name? " I ask her.
"I'm Suzie. What's yours?"
"Violet. But you can call me Vi." I tell Suzie.
"Will you help me find him?" She asks me.
"Yea, sure." I say, standing up. She nods and we start looking. "How old is your brother?" I ask breaking the silence. "He just turned seventeen last month." I nod. We were looking for probably about ten minutes, until we heard someone yell, "Suzie!" Suzie turned around, "Bubby!" She yelled back. I turn around to see a guy, wearing what she said, a cute guy, walking towards us. "Where did you go, bubby?" Suzie asks, walking up to him. "Mom wanted me to go and get milk. Told me to let you play, I would be back soon." He told her, looking over at me. "Who's that?" He asks Suzie. "That's Vi. She was helping me look for you." Suzie told him. I walk up to them. "Yea. Go play." He told her.
"Ok. Bye, Vi." I look down at her, "Bye, Suzie." She runs of to the park. I go to walk away, when he talks to me, "Thanks for helping her look for me. ""No problem, uh. I don't know your name. She only called you bubby." He laughs.
"My names Jake."
"Well, Jake, I should probably go. Before my brothers start to worry." Just as I say that, my phone rings. I hold up my finger.
"Hello." I say.
"Vi. Where are you? You're not at the motel." I hear Sam's frantic voice.
"Chill, Sammy, I stopped at the park. I'm on my way now."
"No, don't bother. We're loading the stuff up. We'll pick you up. Gotta get to the next hunt. Be there in five. " I hear Dean say, grunting. Letting me know I'm on speaker.
"K, as you guys soon." I hang up."Told you." I say.
"Yea, maybe we could go to dinner one night?" He asked, "Get to know eachother."
"I would, but I'm leaving town. Sorry." I tell him.
His face falls as he speaks, "Well, maybe another time. Can I get your number?"
I smile and nod, "Do you have a pen?" He hands one to me, and I write my number on his hand. I see the Impala in the distance. "My rides here. Talk to you later, Jake." I walk away as he says bye.
AN: Ok. It' s not all but it's more of like a filler chapter. What do you guys think of Jake? Please tell me.
