"After that, I went directly to your father's location. When I checked... your parents were no more," Mr. Kim said, wiping his tears. Losing a best friend was painful, and even after all these years, he still couldn't forget them.

"And then I went back to Y/N, to your father's secret house," he continued.

"Uncle, what happened then?" Jungkook asked.

"I didn't want Y/N to know about the incident... nor you. That's why I hid it," Mr. Kim spoke in a low voice. "I tried every possible way to find evidence that your parents' deaths weren't an accident but a murder. But... it was impossible. They worked too wisely, covering their tracks."

"Then why did you leave with Y/N and Auntie?" Jungkook questioned.

"I didn't want to lose anyone else after my best friend. Y/N is my everything, Jungkook. I knew you were safe because they only wanted to kill those who saw them that night. And Y/N... she saw them too, along with your parents.

One day, Yoonju kidnapped Y/N, and my whole world shattered. But I did everything in my power to get her back. The day I rescued her, we left Korea-Y/N, your aunt, and I."

Mr. Kim paused before continuing, "Min Jong-your father's most trusted man-helped me find her. I entrusted your protection to him and his son."

Jungkook remained silent, carefully listening, not wanting to interrupt.

"Two years later, Min Jong became the mafia leader and uncovered the truth about who was behind all this," Mr. Kim revealed.

"Who was it?" Jungkook asked.

"It was the Italian mafia. They didn't know about your father; they only knew he was working with Yoonju. It was all Yoonju's plan."

Jungkook clenched his jaw. "Then what happened, Uncle?"

"I ordered Min Jong to kill him," Mr. Kim said with a sigh.

"But why did he kill my father?" Jungkook's tone was laced with sadness, though he refused to show it.

"Because he wanted your father's position... to become the Mafia God," Mr. Kim admitted.

Jungkook exhaled deeply, taking it all in.

"Jungkook, whenever you want, you can take your father's place," Mr. Kim stated firmly.

"Okay, Uncle," Jungkook responded. He knew Mr. Kim was aware of his involvement in the mafia, though it was a secret.

However, the current leader was Namjoon, not the Mafia God. That title still belonged to his father-and to him.

Mrs. Kim, who had been silently listening, finally spoke. "Jungkook, do you know about your mother's wish?"

Jungkook looked at her, confused. "Which wish, Auntie?"

"Your marriage with Y/N," she said softly.

"Oh," Jungkook muttered, taken aback.

"Are you in a relationship, son?" Mrs. Kim asked.

"No, Auntie," he answered honestly. Jungkook was not a playboy; he was a gentleman.

"I know it might seem too early, but I just wanted to know if you were aware of this," Mrs. Kim said with a gentle smile.

"Yeah, I read about it in my mom's diary. She loved Y/N very much. Dad did too," Jungkook chuckled lightly, reminiscing.
