Chapter 2

I left school early that day I went home and went straight to my room.

Fast-forward
Am heading down to get something to eat since I am hungry. As I bypassed folk's room I heard him talking to someone " I can't stop thinking that my sister is good in everything, my parents love her the most it scares me that one day I might not even get a chance to leave to my their expectations if I am to compete with her and that really scares me. I always walk on eggshells around her."

I felt my soul leave my body . I was my brother's worst nightmare. The smiles,the hugs,the love and care was all fake but why???

There and then I made a decision if I am to give my brother the life he wants I am gonna have to give him a chance for my parents to see his efforts. I ascended to the sitting room where I found my parents cozy on a sofa. I had to speak to them about my decision.

Mom ,Dad I would like to start using the school bus to and from school and if it's ok with you I really miss Grandma and Grandpa can I go and study from there my senior year please.My parents kept quiet with confusion on their faces.

My dad asked ,princess what made you make that decision aren't you happy living here anymore .Did we do something wrong? If we did ,we're sorry princess. you know dad can't leave without you and your mom is used to your craziness what are we supposed to do when you leave us....hmm.

Nothing at all I just want to experience a life where I am not pampered. A life that will teach me to be strong,a life that will make me make decisions that I will learn from and mostly a life that will make me feel proud to be your daughter.

My parents finally gave in ,they told me that I could use the school bus and I could always do anything I want they will always support me even if my decision of going to my Grandparent's place in Canada.

I could see my father holding his tears I knew that he loved me so much but I also knew that I had to give my brother a chance to show them that he could do anything they want him to ,but mostly I want to try for myself from the hurt I felt. I knew I couldn't do it without them but I had to fight and win to prove to my brother that I wasn't a threat but my own person.

I woke up the next morning and my brother asked " yoko, are we going together at school ?"I just told him no I'll be using the school bus he asked me did you talk to Mom who asked you to use the school bus we have a driver I told him I'm old enough I can take care of myself good it's up to you I don't care and he left.

A lot of students were surprised to see me using a school bus but I didn't care a was in my own world the whole time listening to music with my headphones on. When I arrived at school it was filled with students chattering about their own stories and stuff I went straight to the library and focused on my books since our exams were next month. I didn't have a lot of work that day so I stayed inside the library most of the time.

As I was still reviewing my notes I was interpreted by someone " may I sit here please" she asked I looked up and to my surprise she was smiling I called out shocked "Su" she smiled.

Her name is Sulux most call her Lux but I call her Su she's Faye's cousin and a very close friend of mine.
Am so happy you're here I hugged her . I had what happened so I came but now I am always here princess.Let's go find the girls their gonna be happy to see you. We walked hand in hand with her to the cafeteria where those of Becky were. They all were surprised and run to her but she wasn't a huggy person so they just shock hands. We sat in the cafeteria and jazzed for sometime. As we were talking my brother and his friends came in my brother so Su and jumped at her hey bro ,Su asked do I know you my brother went silent we just started packing our bags and ready to leave when Su asked whose ready to be spoil we just kept quiet and su said hi to Faye and the others.

Faye asked if we had eaten something but we all answered we were fine. Su sensing the shift in the atmosphere she pulled me into a tight hug let's go to the mall and I spoil you princess I just nodded. Folk grabbed my hand with force asking me where I was going without telling him I snatched my hand away and pushed him I walked towards him and I looked at him directly into his eyes and said " Let this be the last warning, don't pretend like you own me am your sister and your my brother let's stay on that level don't you ever ask me what, where ,how who cause am old enough i don't need a baby sitter" let me hope I made myself clear and I walked away as I was walking Faye ,Freen and lisa asked if they could tag around ,Su answered yes and we told Su we were sorry coz we had a project that needed finishing.

Su shocked her head and hugged me tight and asked if I didn't want them to tag along I nodded and she said you would have told me.So she turned to them and said sorry today it's the ladies day maybe some other time.

We grabbed our bags and as we bypassed them Faye tried reaching my hand but I just shrugged it away from her.
