As Amal and Maha huddled together, their hearts racing, distant shouts and splashes grew louder. The library's darkness began to feel less suffocating, replaced by the flickering hope of rescue. Suddenly, a group of scouts burst through the doors, their flashlights cutting through the chaos.

The scout leader quickly assessed the situation and gestured for his team to spread out. "Here! We're in the back!" Maha shouted, urgency lacing her voice.

The scouts rushed toward them, expressions a mix of determination and concern. Amal quickly explained that the library had flooded and someone had turned off the electricity, but they didn't know who.

"Let's go!" Maha urged, gripping Amal's hand tightly as they followed the scouts deeper into the library. The water swirled around their ankles, but the presence of help filled them with renewed hope.

Minutes felt like hours as they searched, tension thick in the air. Just then, a scout called out, excitement lacing his tone. "Over here!" Amal and Maha hurried toward the sound, hearts pounding. They rounded a corner to find Ashraf, slumped against a wall, his face pale and strained.

Amal gasped, rushing to his side. A jagged piece of wood protruded from his thigh, blood seeping through his clothes. He leaned heavily against the wall, his expression strained but determined.

"I shouldn't be dying!" he blurted, breathless. "I have to be in Bengaluru tomorrow... I can't die like this!" His voice, though weak, carried a frantic urgency that echoed his desperation.

The scout leader crouched down, assessing the injury with growing concern. Ashraf continued to mumble, "I can't die here. Not today. I have things to do..."

The scouts quickly set to work, lifting Ashraf with gentle hands. Despite his pain, his expression remained strained, conveying a mix of determination and urgency. Amal and Maha stayed close, their faces etched with worry, ready to assist however they could.

As they emerged from the library into the rain-soaked campus, the storm had subsided, leaving a fresh scent of damp earth in the air. A small crowd of students had gathered, relief and worry mingling in their expressions as they watched the scene unfold.

In that moment, Amal felt a swell of gratitude for Ashraf's bravery. His determination and willingness to risk himself for others resonated deeply within her. "You really are a hero," she said softly, her voice steady.

Ashraf's gaze briefly met hers before he quickly looked away, his expression unreadable as he focused on the path ahead. He seemed eager to distance himself from the crowd, discomfort etched across his face. Amal and Maha walked alongside him, their hearts heavy with concern. In that moment, Amal couldn't help but think about the bond they had formed through the ordeal, even if Ashraf remained oblivious to it. They had faced the storm together, and that connection would carry them through whatever challenge lay ahead.
