There was a person reading a story on wattpad, about getting to finish the story that the writer started. As you read on, you are entertained and do not notice the figure behind you, that is only visible in your peripheral vision. The reader turns around but sees nothing. They go back to reading. They hear a noise, but it's probably just the house. They don't notice the entity reaching for their neck, because it is as if it doesn't exist, but of course, it does. Poor, poor, reader.
