The Full Moon

At school Briar was sitting beside Lilith as their teacher talked about math.

The werecat was having trouble focusing, which wasn't saying a lot since she had ADD and math was her worst subject.

At recess Briar, Lilith, Raven, Bria and Ryla met in their usual corner by the doors. "Hey Lilith are you okay? You've been sorta... off today." Raven asked a bit of worry in their voice. Before Lilith could respond Briar cut in with "if some motherfucker hurt you they'll wish they'd stayed in hell when I'm done with them." Lilith's tired face forced a small smile. "No one hurt me it's just that the full moon's tomorrow." Bria and Ryla's expressions looked a bit confused so Briar explain to them. "Werewolves and cats can change into their animal form at any time, but during the full moon they can't turn back into humans."

Lilith yawned tiredly. "Ash and I are staying at The Den tomorrow night." Raven and Briar said that they would stay with her and ask if Damian and Kash were going to spend the night there.

The next night at 8:30 pm Lilith sneaked out of her house since her parents don't know she's a werecat and walked down Toblat Street and into The Den where everyone else was waiting. 

The sleeping plans were soon worked even though no one expected anyone to sleep soon. Damian and Kash shared a folded out couch and Briar and Raven slept on the floor in sleeping bags. Lilith and Ash would sleep on the ground once they turned into their animal forms.

Around 9:00 Lilith and Ash began to change. Lilith's bones rearranged themselves into her golden cat form and Ash turned into his black wolf with mournful chocolate brown eyes.

Lilith woke up around 4:00 am and looked at Briar and Raven's sleeping bodies. She then got a very catlike idea. She walked between Briar's Baji pillow and Raven's Kazutora pillow and nudged Briar's head. The demon woke up and jumped. She looked a Lilith flipped her off and rolled her eyes. "Let me guess you want to sleep by my legs." Lilith gave that look when your cat knows she did something wrong, but is pretending that she was being good the whole time. Briar grumbled and laid down and Lilith snuggled into the side of Briar's leg. It was a good thing Briar couldn't hear cat laughter.
