It is said that all humans have animalistic instincts; that, humans, like animals, can sense who is essentially the predator or prey.
For the first time (as far as he could remember), Lennox could feel those instincts grip every cell in his body. Every tiny strand of hair on the back of his neck and arms stood up as a cold, clammy sensation prickled goosebumps onto his skin, which were thankfully hidden by his coat.
The Satyr continued to innocently smile, his demeanor warm and charming as he continued to spew out words that admittedly Lennox could not comprehend in his current state of frozen panic. Every wrinkle, 'unconscious' twitch, and all small inflections in his tone were perfectly and convincingly of that of a kind and warm human.
Had the Satyr begun this charade when they first met, Lennox knew that he would have fallen for it completely. Hell, he'd go as far to say that even Sunstreaker, who was known as the 'sociopathic' Autobot would have also fallen for the charade.
However, now that he had seen the Satyr's true nature slip through the cracks of his facade, his expressions now seemed uncanny as if he were a creature imitating to be human. It truly frightened him to his core.
Despite all of this, he kept his expression poker, not allowing even a shred of emotion to flicker through his brown eyes. Lennox turned to Optimus who wore an unreadable expression. Optimus gave a curt nod, assuring him he had gotten everything the crime lord had said.
"I see", Lennox spoke, scolding himself mentally for not focusing on the Satyr's words. He lowered his head, pretending to ponder over what the Satyr had 'revealed'.
Just like the Satyr, Lennox could also mask his emotions through facades, though he couldn't compare with the Satyr's level of deceit.
"I'm sorry. I truly wished I had more information", the Satyr feigned regret, enjoying the fear and confusion flicker across the soldier's eyes. However, to his utter frustration he couldn't break the tall and built brown-haired robotic alien.
He wanted to break him, wanted to see the expression of despair on his calm authoritative gaze. The urge to do so, so great, like an itch he desperately sought to scratch.
How to break him? He wondered as he continued to stare down at the Autobot leader. He could tell that the robot could sense his gaze, however seeing him unaffected and worst of all ignoring him was what irked the Satyr the most.

"We have to save her"
Prowl could hear the soldier mumble under his breath. He glanced at Johnston who was currently talking with Ironhide and Sideswipe concerning the details of their departure.
"You think so too, don't you...Prowl"
Prowl's eyes widened slightly at this. He glanced at Carlston who's head was bowed in defeat, his puffy red eyes obscured from darkness.
"I'm right aren't I", Carlston continued, his native accent slightly emerging in his somber voice. Prowl turned his attention towards the dewy green earth, brows furrowed in confusion. Had he been that obvious? Like Optimus, he was known for his stoic expressions, hell, even his comrades haven't noticed how much Prowl wanted to go back and save that girl, though his reason for doing so were vastly different from the soldier beside him.
"Yeah, I'm right. I can see it in your eyes", Carlston chuckled dryly. Prowl fought back a small smile. Despite his aloof and silly personality, the soldier was incredibly perceptive and smart.
"Have you made a plan?", Prowl rose a brow. Carlston's eyes brightened, and he gave Prowl an excited happy smile.
Prowl froze, a weird sensation thrumming in his spark faintly before disappearing as fast as it came.
"Well, I have some ideas. I'm sure with your help we can quickly forge one. You are the best strategist, after all", Carlston grinned, his sadness replaced by newfound determination. Prowl cleared his throat and looked away.
"Uh, sure...", he found himself mumbling. Carlston chuckled at the usually stoic Autobot who was now looking away with embarrassment.
"Are you embarrassed, Prowl?", Carlston teased. Prowl reverted back to his stoic expression and crossed his arms.
"Talk before I change my mind", he threatened as he closed his eyes. Carlston tensed and quickly apologized.
"Ah! Shit sorry! Okay so, here's what I came up with"

"Thank you for your time, Mr. Satyr. Here, for your troubles", Lennox placed the large black suitcase in front of the Satyr.
"Thank you. Once again, I'm sorry for not being much help", the Satyr sighed, feigning remorse again.
"No, not at all. We shall take our leave, now. I hope you have a great night", Lennox smiled. He was desperate to get out of this place now.
The Satyr turned to Optimus and without breaking eye contact he tilted the dancer's head back harshly before licking from the base of her neck up to her jaw. Optimus felt anger wash over him as he looked into the young dancer's empty eyes.
"Oh, I will", a spark of excitement flowed through the Satyr as he noticed a small flicker of anger burn in the robot's eyes. Though small and fleeting, it was still there and having had a taste of it, the Satyr wanted more.
"Alright! Thank you again, Mr. Satyr. Op-er Orion lets go", Lennox placed a hand the Autobot leader's soldier. His hand trembled, the tension in the room so thick and suffocating that you could cut through it like a knife.
Lennox's hand snapped Optimus back to reality and he sighed mentally. He too was exhausted from this mission. Sneaking one last glance at the dancer, Optimus turned around and prepared to walk towards the double doors when suddenly it was swung open. Lennox and Optimus stood there stunned as Carlston stomped towards the Satyr who rose a brow in slight amusement.
Johnston and Epps soon busted in with alarmed and panicked expressions. Lennox confused, turned to them, demanding an explanation.
"He's...going...to...challenge him", Epps panted between words. Lennox's eyes widened and he immediately rush over to stop his foolish subordinates before he was either killed or put everyone at risk. Yes, they were in the military, however, the Satyr was a highly influential individual. Why, he didn't know, but his team was already on thin ice after the Galloway incident, and they couldn't afford another mistake.
"Carl-"
"Name any challenge you want! If we win, we'll take her away from your fucking hands. If we lose then...er, you choose your prize", Carlston stared defiantly into the Satyr's eyes. Despite his mind and body screaming at him to run, he remained firm and unmoving.
The Satyr narrowed his eyes, and Lennox felt his heart jump to his throat. There was a long silence as everyone anxiously waited for his response. Then, the Satyr laughed. An amused and malice-filled boisterous laugh.
"Alright, little soldier. I accept".
