Bluey oneshots

Blukenzie!!

Bluey and Mackenzie have always hated each other. Mackenzie would tease her from time to time, and she would annoy him a lot.

But recently, it seems like Bluey's heart swells whenever she's around him. Her tail starts swaying faster and faster as he teases her. Wednesday comes around, the day Bluey and her assigned buddy Mia will hang out by the school and do stuff together. Mia is a tall English setter with orange spots on her back and ears. She's sweet and cares about Bluey a lot; and Bluey cares about her too. Bluey and Mia were decorating their fairy garden while Mia was yapping about her crush, Captain. Captain was Mackenzie's buddy. Bluey wasn't really listening, when Mia suddenly brought up a question.

"Sorry, I was rambling too long... Hey, Bluey, do you have a crush?" This question made Bluey's ears perk up and her heart rate pick up slightly. She stayed silent for a few moments before responding quietly, her tail swaying slightly. "Uhm... no.."

Mia chuckled a bit. She could tell when someone was keeping a secret. Her tail wagged a bit, knowing her heart was racing from that question. "C'mon, don't lie! Your tail is wagging!"

Bluey quickly clamps a paw to her tail, keeping it from swaying though the tip was still moving side to side slightly. "I-I don't know what you're talking about! I'm not lying!"

Mia smirks, noticing Bluey's face heat up. "Your face says otherwise! You know, if you do have a crush, you could tell me. Maybe I can even help you with it!"

Bluey pouts slightly before responding in a quiet voice, gently fiddling with her tail. "I-I... well.. oh, alright. I-It's... Mackenzie."

Mia had a satisfied grin on her face, knowing her hunch was correct. She sat down to seem more interested in the conversation, tilting her head to the side a bit. "You and Mackenzie, huh? So why haven't you told him yet?"

Bluey sighs quietly, fiddling with her tail. She had seen the looks Mackenzie gave her, the lingering touches, but she just assumed it was wishful thinking on her part. I mean, they hate each other... Right? " I-I... I can't. He hates me."

Mia's eyes widen a bit, surprised she'd say that. She's seen the way her and Mackenzie interact with each other. She's seen Mackenzie pick on her. Maybe it was just teasing? "What do you mean he doesn't like you? You two are always bickering, but he does pay a lot of attention to you."

Bluey looked up, her ears drooping slightly. "...But... I'm always annoying him. And he's always annoying me. How in the world could he possibly feel the same?"

Mia chuckled under her breath again. She then patted her shoulder, trying to reassure her. "Bluey, he teases you all the time - and you constantly bother him. You know what they say, "teasing is like flirting in a way.""

Bluey raised an eyebrow. "..what's flirting..?"

Mia then facepalms herself, remembering that she was in fact a child, who had the mind of one. "Basically, when someone flirts, it's like showing that they're interested in a relationship with someone. And teasing is pretty similar to flirting."

Bluey's eyebrows furrowed further. "But... why would you wanna try and annoy your crush? Wouldn't you want them to like you?"

Mia paused for a moment, and her smile fell slightly. She had to find a way to explain it in a way she'd understand. "Well, people with crushes sometimes tease people they like a lot because they want the other person to notice them! But that means they actually like you, and don't see you as annoying like they say!"

Bluey's ears perked up a bit as she spoke, and her tail wagged a bit. "So... dooya think he likes me back?" Bluey asked hopefully, slightly praying he did.

Mia's smile returned. She nodded and chuckled a little. "Of course, he does. Why else would he tease you and pay so much attention to you? If he didn't like you, he wouldn't even be talking to you at all."

Bluey stood up and squealed. "Eeee! We hafta tell him right now!! C'mon!!" Bluey insists, grabbing Mia's paw and trying to pull her up. Her tail was wagging like crazy now.

Mia laughed and let Bluey pull her up. She smiled at her excitement, glad to see her so happy. She followed her, still holding her paw. "Okay, okay, We're going!"

Bluey pushed the vines away and ran out of the small cave with Mia following behind her. She ran over to where the barky boats were, seeing Mackenzie and Captain there. She suddenly stopped in her tracks, her anxiety and nerves coming back.

Mia noticed her abrupt pause in her trail, and she stopped too. She squeezed her paw, trying to reassure her. "Hey, it's gonna be alright. He likes you too, remember?"

Bluey looks up at Mia, her tail coming up to curve around her body in a self comforting manner. "But... how do we know for sure? What if he thinks I'm weird and teases me even more..?"

Mia laid her paws on Bluey's shoulders, looking her in the eyes to make sure she's listening. Her eyes held determination as she spoke. "Bluey. Trust me, I know he likes you - I've seen you two. And if for some reason he does think you're weird and teases you even more, I'll be there to back you up, okay?"

Bluey takes a deep breath and nods, her nerves still present but a bit more determination in her eyes now. "Okay." She swallows hard before slowly walking over to Mackenzie, holding onto Mia's hand like a lifeline. "..Mackenzie?" She gently taps him on the shoulder.

Mackenzie's ear flicks at the sound of Bluey's voice, which he immediately recognizes. He turns around and looks down at her. "What do you want now?" He folded his arms, annoyed at her for taking his time up with Captain.

Bluey swallows hard and squeezes Mia's hand a bit tighter, her face heating up. She looked at the floor and shifted awkwardly. "I... I have something to tell you."

Mackenzie raised an eyebrow. "Well? Spit it out. I ain't got all day." He said, looking over his shoulder at Captain who was holding the barky boats back.

Bluey takes a deep, trembling breath before speaking. "Mackenzie, I-I... I'm in love with you." She says kinda quickly, her ears folding back against her head as she braced for his reaction.

Mackenzie's eyes widen, and his ears stand straight up. His heart rate starts to pick up, and he feels his face heat up. He wasn't expecting to be confessed to right now. He tried to remain calm, but it was noticeable how flustered he was." Y-you are? For reals..?"

Bluey nodded slowly, her face completely red now. "Mhm..." She mumbles, her voice shaky.

Mackenzie's heart feels like it's about to burst from his chest. The sight of you, completely flushed and stuttering, was absolutely adorable to him. He looked over at Captain, who just shrugged. "I.. I had no idea..." Mackenzie mumbled, trying to seem somewhat calm.

Bluey fiddles with her fingers, her tail wrapping around her body again. "S-so... d-do you like me too..?" She knew there wasn't a good chance, but she had prayed that he felt the same.

Mackenzie swallows hard, his heart melting at the sight of her. He was fighting the urge to pick her up and squeeze her tight. He could see how anxious she was about his response, so he spoke up to reassure her. "Y-yeah, I do... I really do..." Mackenzie's voice was softer barely above a whisper.

Bluey's ears perked up, her expression lighting up and her tail swaying side to side. "Y-you do? For real life?"

Mackenzie nods, a smile spreading across his face. He reaches out and ruffles her head affectionately, his paw lingering there for a moment. "Of course I do. Don't ask such dumb questions, silly." he chuckled softly, his usual teasing tone returning.

Bluey giggled, her tail now wagging even faster and her heart fluttering. She looked at Mia, who gave her a little nudge. Bluey hesitated for a moment before taking a step further, wrapping her arms around Mackenzie and pulling him into a tight hug. Her smile widened as she buried her snoot into his fur.

Mackenzie was a bit surprised before he slowly wrapped his arms around her, his tail now wagging faster as his heart beat sped up. They stayed in each others embrace for a couple minutes, neither of them wanting to pull away.
